Speakers stuck in diagnostic mode, know how to get them out of it?

The user manual states to plug the sound cables into the correct sound output jacks of the sound card of your computer to get the speakers to come out of diagnostic mode. I am guessing that once a signal is picked up on the audio cables that the speaker will switch modes.

Hello, I just bought a "brand new" Brookstone Wafer Thin CD player from ebay. I hooked everything up, turned it on and only the left speaker will work, I tried plugging the cord for the right speaker...

As long as the wires had a clean connection on the right side, that is the proper troubleshooting with the correct answer. If you really want to try to fix it yourself or at least try here you go.I would like to know what kind of jack/hookup there is for this wire. You probably need a solder gun.63/37 is the best solder possible(but don't buy either yet).Disconnect all the wiring (obviously).Turn the player on and off to discharge the capacitors as much as possible. They may still hold a charge, but I've been "bitten" by those and it's no big deal.Unscrew the back. You may have to remove some more screws to inspect the solder on the board to the right channel jack. You may also need some small,I think they're called precision screwdrivers?I don't remember.I bought mine about 20 years ago.If there is a crack in the solder,a bad solder connection,or a break in the circuit line to the jack which is embedded in the board, that might be something. If the circuit connection embedded is broken it's can be fixed, kind of rigged, but not dangerous. You could also talk to ebay and tell them what happened if you don't want to try all this.I do not know their liability policies.Anyhow, please let me know what you end up doing.Good luck!Greg

After i installed windows seven speaker is not working in lenovo y410 laptop

this a OS issue from Microsoft, you sound card IRQ has been forzen by the OS so it will not alow any data move to the sound card.
try these.
go to start/run/type services.msc/ go to Windows Audio/check to c if the services are started.
else try to connect a USB audio adaptor (buy on ebay for 1$) and try connecting an external speakers to the sound out jack on the USB equipment
if that works then that should solve your problem for the time being till Microsoft think some solution

Radio quit working but they say it has an external amplifer is that true?

It hard to say, it could be the radio itself not putting out any sound or it could be the external amplifier. assuming the radio work fine, than it will be the external amplifier or visa-versa. the radio out put low frequency sound which we call it pre-amp line which run to and connected to the ext. amperfier, ext. amprefier then amplify the sound to the speakers. if the ext. amplifier if faulty than you will get no sound even though the radio is working properly. hope that make sense..good luck, if you need to replace the stock ext. amplifier, check on ebay for good deal, don't buy it new from a dealer, will cost you arm and a leg. you can also just replace the new entired radio systems (after market) but use the same speakers.

Need replacement sub box

Go to nearest computer store, ask them if they can give you the address of Logitech service center in your area.If one store does not help, go to 2 -3 more.
Another option , try searching in google maps for logitech service center in you area, this might sound stupid but works in some cases.

No speaker hook up on new moniter

If your old monitor was a Compaq, it had slots for the speakers to hang on and provided the power for the speakers. The speakers still got their input from a cable that plugged into the computer sound output jack. If those speakers are the style Compaq supplied when I worked at a Compaq service shop, they originally came with metal stands that fit into slots on the back so you could stand them up on their own, and a 12-volt power adapter so you could use them without the monitor. If you don't have those pieces, you can buy a suitable power adapter (12 volts DC at 1 amp) at Radio Shack but the speaker stands are hard to find. You could try eBay, or just make a holder of some kind. (A friend of mine used those little wooden stands you can buy to display plates to hold her speakers when she got a new monitor. They worked out pretty well.)

Or you can replace the speakers. A new set would have everything you need. But those Compaq speakers sounded pretty good, so if they're still working you might want to keep them.

Sound Problems with JVC AV-35BP4 TV

The audio output stage for the speakers may have failed in the TV set. If the set has an earphone jack, it is also possible that the jack has a fault (very rare, but I have seen this).

Are there external speaker outputs to try other speakers?

Hooking up stock speakers

is there a external jack for a speaker or head phones? If there is try your head phones or ext speaker. If you look inside your case you will see that the speaker wires go from the sound board to the jack to the speakers. Some times the jack gets something in it or stuck open and it doesnt let the sound go to the speakers
