Question about Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V2000 Notebook
When I first got my laptop, as soon as I switched it on it would search for wireless connection. My computer went in for repair and vista was reinstalled. Now when I start up my computer I always have to manually go to wireless settings and switch it on. Is there a way I can change my computer default to switch wireless on?
Go to Start > Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Administartive Tools. Double click on Services. Scroll to the bottom and you will see WLAN AutoConfig. Double click on it.
It is most likely set to manual. Click start if it isnt started already and change the startup type to Automatic.
Click OK , reboot and see if it works now.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Nov 19, 2012 | D-Link ADSL2/2+ Modem/Wireless Router...
Power on the laptop computer and wait for the operating system to boot before proceeding.
Right-click the wireless icon in the lower right corner of the desktop.
From the pop-up menu select "Enable."
This activates the wireless Internet options but it does not turn on the wireless receiver.
Push down on the wireless button or wireless switch on the top of the keyboard.
After a moments time the switch or button lights up, signifying the computer is ready for an Internet connection.
Right-click the wireless icon again.
From the pull-up menu choose to view all available wireless networks in the area.
A window appears with all the networks your computer receives some sort of signal from.
Select the wireless network you want access to, type in the password (if required) and click "Connect." Momentarily the laptop computer connects to the Internet.
you should be able to, it depends on the laptop, the os, the wireless adapter, and the settings .
click start Control Panel - Network Connections - right click on 'Wireless connection'
(or similar) and click 'enable'.
right click on the network in the bottom toolbar select open network sharing center
you should have the options to either connect or disconnect or set up a network connection
this will vary depending on your operating system
hope this helps
