Question about Hamat 3-3369PC Ergo Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Joystick Handle and Match...

1 Answer

Joystick Handle keeps falling off.

Anytime you shut off the water by pulling on the joystick handle, the handle itself comes off. I've check the fixture and the spring and hardware all align, but I don't see anything that holds the handle in the base unit. Am I missing something? Any help is appreciated.

Ok look on the handle and you will see maybe a red and blue piece of plastic(or black).  that comes off ans there should be a set screw inside allen key.

Handle keeps wont stay up, keeps turning off.

Yes you can repair this. Sounds like the valve springs and the rubber valve seats may be worn. There are repair kits available at Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, ect. for these faucets. And they usually come with the "tool" you need to remove the faucet handle and the cap and seal nut. After that, it's pretty straightforward, and easy. Two springs, two seats, and an O ring or two, and your'e done. Just make sure to shut off the supply lines to the sink before you start and open the faucet handle to remove any pressure left after you cut the water off. Tighten the cap or seal nut securely after the new springs and seats are in, and you should be good to go.

The handle on my kitchen faucet falls down and

There should be an Allen screw on the underside of the handle. Loosen it to take the handle off, then tighten up the packing nut with a channel-lock wrench.

I have a shower faucet that keeps turning, does't stop.

Yes shut of main water, then remove handle, then take off bonnet, that holds stem in valve. You will have to take stem with you to hardware store to match up. Put it back together in reverse, turn main water back on. Now you tell everyone your a plumber and get much respect.

Handle lowers on its own, and hot water almost shuts off.

If you remove the handle on the faucet, you will find a grey or white retaining washer that has a couple of notches on it. Tighten this retaining washer and this will solve your problem.

Handle lowers itself

Remove the handle with an allen wrench. There is a grey retaining ring where the stem is coming out of the housing. Tighten the retaining ring. This will solve your problem. I'm shocked that it's not leaking as well. You might need new washers as well but try tightening the retaining ring first.

Handle on faucet shuts off on its own

I had the same problem. The Price Pfister web site recommends removing the handle (unscrew the dome cap, then remove the phillips screw to get the handle off) then tightening the retaining ring (I used channel lock pliers on largest setting. It worked. However the retaining ring is plastic on some models, and they recommend replacing it with a brass one. I haven't taken that step yet, we'll see how it goes (mine is plastic).
