Phone won't read sim other than one original.........?
My brother passed away a little over a month ago. I was given his beloved cellphone which is loaded with pictures and ringtones. I contacted sprintel and they wont let me access the account, but say the phone should work with my BOOST MOBILE UNLIMITED SIM CHIP. However when ever I install the sim the phone reads incorrect sim, information does not match stored information. I am actually down grading from my i880. But this phone has major sentimental value to me. Is there anyone who can help. I don't know how to "use unlock codes" and all that. Don't even know the unlock code for the phone. Or even if that is what I have to do. There are locks next to his old number and his walkie talkie numbers, and the phone will not let me access them to enter my phone numbers and walkie talkie number from my chip. Help...............

Hi dear! liquid or water is the number 1 enemy of any electronic devices such as cellular phone, maybe some the cellphone technician can repair it but it won't last long, another all samsung service center will not accept for repair of any wet board nor wet cellular phones.....
your cellphone is phone lock that's you got invalid sim. It was originally registered to an Old Sim Card. You need the password to unlock your cellphone. If you can't find one the only way it can help you is to found a Cellphone Technician they have tools to repair it.
If your phone is asking
you to enter pin or puk code, you need not to contact your brother, rather you
better contact the service provider's customer care, they will ask you to give
them some info about the sim card registration (on whose name, address etc
which i think you know) and will give you the code to reset your phone
instantly while you are on the line so be ready to provide them the sim card
no. and other info. If the problem is with the sim card lock ("Sim Lock,
enter code"), you can manually give a try using this code *#7370# or
*#7780# to do this, remove the sim card, memory card, but keep in mind that
everything in your phone will be deleted, so copy or not down important
files/contacts. How's it? still the same? So sad but one last chance biut 100% success ratre. Now your last option to get it back so that you can use with another sim card is to get it unlocked using unlock software/flashing software at a mobile repairing shop. good luck
phone restriccted on Nokia phones means that it is wanting a subsidy unlock. This can sometimes happen with the original carriers SIM due to a software glitch. Just remove the battery while the phone is truned on. If the error does not go away, contact your carrier or Nokia for warranty replacement
