Hello Greg,

Check to make sure the device drivers are installed properly, and the device is functioning correctly, and enabled by doing the following:

1. Start
2. Right Click on "My Computer"
3. Select Manage
4. in the left column of the new window that appears, select "Device Manager"

If you don't see any yellow caution signs or red "x" then your device should be ok.

Make sure your wireless radio is also turned on.

What model is the laptop?
What model is the wifi adapter?
Are both from Asus?

    Try going to:
    http://support.asus.com/download/downloa...

You can find the drivers, and the software utilities to control the device.

Make sure you do NOT have the device in Ad Hoc. You want infrastructure mode.

Once that is completed you need to enter the wireless information for your router. I'm not familiar with the software, but there are manuals on the link I provided, so you may need to read them.

    Good Luck Friend.
