How do i get my bulldog seurity rs82b to crank longer

If you are using the "tachless" start option and the unit will not crank long enough to start the vehicle, you might want to opt for using the tach wire set up. When selected, and following the Tach set up, the unit will then crank until the engine is producing the preset RPM programmed into the unit's memory.
My experience with the RS82 is favorable, but every now and then, the tach wire must be used to be more reliable, especially on some older model vehicles. I have no knowledge of being able to add crank time such as DEI units are capable of.

put your key in the ignition leave it in the off position, now press the remote starter, if it starts you need to adjust the key in the 791, or adjust the transponder loop around the key chamber

No range for my Bulldog Remote Start.

Get a Viper 5900, it has a 1 mile + range
Or a viper 5601 has a 2000 ft range.

Bulldog is DIY and entry level stuff. You cant expect much from them.

The wire antennas work the best when they are stretched out. Not wadded in a ball or in a loop. If you have to loop it use figure 8's. Try streatching it up the "A" pillar and in the headliner across the top of the windshield. Also, do not ground the antenna, and let the end hang.

Also check your hot and ground connections. Make your ground at the kick panel sheet metal. Do not use a factory ground or a metal bracket in the dashboard. Do use a file or sandpaper to buff the ground site to the bare metal.
