It simply means "source". These radios typically have AM/FM, CD, auxiliary (1/8" plug), USB, and some XM/Sirius input selections. The source button is how you choose.

JVC KD-G421 - cannot access menu to add ext-in

The JVC KD-G421 only shows the option to change EXT IN from the CD changer to EXT IN when the current source is FM, AM or Disc . See the following page at ManualsLib: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/81662/Jvc-Kd-G421.html?page=15#manual . Assuming the J-Link cable that you added is the KS-U57 or KD-US58, the unit is still looking for (and not finding) the CD changer. Press the SRC button repeatedly until you get to FM or AM. (Disc will only show if there is a CD in the CD slot.) Then try pressing and holding Sel. Use the fast forward/up or fast reverse/down to get to EXT IN on the display. Then turn the tuning knob until EXT IN is selected. Press Sel again to save the setting. Now see if the EXT IN is listed when you press the SRC button. Page 13, https://www.manualslib.com/manual/81662/Jvc-Kd-G421.html?page=13#manual , shows the general procedure for setting the preferred setting mode.

I hope this helps.

SRC button isn't doing what its supposed to do!!

If you unplug the radio's wiring harness and plug it back in, it will reset to the factory defaults. Some models may also have a small reset button on the front, either on the face or behind it. Use a paper clip or similar object to press this for 2-3 seconds. If the button does not function after doing these things, the radio is bad.

How to use jvc kd-hdr20 car stereo. I need to know how to fix balance, bass, bluetooth, ect.

To pair a bluetooth device with the radio, turn on the Bluetooth function of the device. Then press the SRC (source) button on the receiver. Select BT Audio or BT Phone, depending on the device you want to pair with the radio. Use the up/down arrows to select New Device and press the down arrow. Select Open and then press the down arrow. Then enter the PIN by using the left/right arrows to select a digit and turning the volume knob until the correct digit is entered. (For some devices, you need to enter a specific PIN. Consult that device's manual.) Press the down arrow to set the PIN. Enter the PIN in the device you are pairing to the receiver (if it doesn't have a required PIN). Wait for the message "Connected" to appear.

To use the device in the future, press SRC and choose the appropriate Bluetooth type. Then use the right/left arrows to select the registered device. Press the down arrow and then use the right/left arrows to select Connect and press the down arrow. (See the manual, link below, for setting the autoconnect or autoanswer.)

To adjust the sound system balance, press and hold Menu to open the menu and then turn the volume knob to Audio. Press the center of the Volume knob. Then navigate to balance and adjust the unit as needed.

The manual for the KD-HDR20 is available from JVC on the product support page: http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product.jsp?archive=true&pathId=54&modelId=MODL028465 . The direct link to the instruction manual is http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/01/14/LVT1960-001A.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Set clock time kenwood car radio

Get into (standby mode) by hitting source (src) button until screen says "Standby".
M.Jog key is to the left of the (src) button. Hold it in for more than 1 sec to get into menu mode.
Move Toggle Control Knob (TCK) up (don't turn) until you see "Clock Adjust" on the screen.
Press Toggle Control Knob (TCK) in for more than one second and the time will appear (flashing).
Move TCK up/down for hours, left/right for minutes (again, don't turn knob).
Press (src) button when the desired time is selected.

Make sure you have hooked up your memory power wire to a source of 12 volts that does not go away when the ignition switch is turned off. I suspect that is your problem. Your main power wire will of course need to go cold when the ignition switch is turned off.
