Cannot see other computers on my Zyxel router network
I've just replaced a sick Linksys ADSL router with a Zyxel one, and overall am pleased with its performance.
I have three laptops that access the net via wireless, and my main PC which is connected to the router via a LAN cable. My problem is that the main PC cannot 'see' the wireless laptops, andthey cannot see the main PC - which is a headache, since the main PChas the printer attached which needs to be accessible on the network!
I have tried going through the network setup routine on both a laptopand my main PC, but while all the wireless laptops can see eachother, they are still blind to the main PC. What do I have to do to get all the machines accessible to the main PC??
All the PCs are running Windows Vista, Home Premium.

You have to set different ip address. To clear this up this how I got my setup. I have verizon internet. I use a westell 6100g modem, I have the local ip address set for 192.168.1.1 and I got a linksys wireless router and the ip address set for 192.168.9.1. Then I plug my modem into the wan port and it works. What am I doing is setting a static ip address from my modem to the router and using the router to distribute my address through the network. If you have any printers on the network you need to change that numter to 192.168.9.x number. If you don't have two different numbers set the router will take over.
You must be sure to what router you are trying to connect. I understand you have a ZyXel and a linksys. You must have 2 wireless networks. Your wireless network must be secured, so you just have to use the correct password. I need more details. Try this http://technicalsupport.blog.friendster.com
did you setup a wireless network ? if you didnt go to control panal and then wireless network setup icon and follow instructions (select automatically provide network key option) then follow instructions and finish. once you did that, search through wifi on youf phone it should find your WNetwork and then connect and enjoy. if you want to use internet and have an ADSL modem, make sure that the modem is connected to the internet RJ45 plug on your router. and from router to PC.
well to start, your connection would possibly be ADSL and your zyxel is set to provide DHCP address on your network, so its router capabilities could be turned on.
if this is true, you may need to rework the connection settings.
here's a recommendation:
1.set your modem to bridge mode (bridge only)
2.this will then be allowing your linksys to manage your DSL connection through PPPoE
3.after so, your linksys router should get a public IP address for an internet IP when you go to status tab (not an IP address starting with 192.168.1.xx)
after so, you may reconfigure your port-forwarding.
the reason why you will need to set your modem to "bridged" only is that if it is not, your zyxel's firewall is also turned on, provided that the linksys' firewall is always on. so even if you define which port will be opened on the router, it will still be blocked by the modem's firewall.
