Computer equipment stores should have those 3 prongs power supply.
Radio shack sells them as well.
It does not have to be gray as long their the same size plugs. 95% at a time they are compatible.

I hope this helps.

All lights flashing fast on HP 5150

Sounds like your DeskJet 5150 needs to be restarted. Try:

1) Press <Power> button to turn the printer off, then press again to turn it back on
2) If problem persists, turn off the printer
3) Disconnect the power cord from the power source
4) Reconnect the power cord
5) Turn the printer on

Where to buy power cord for printer

I would not chance using the other cord. You may end up needing 2 power cords or another printer.

Doing some research, your printer should be a Deskjet 5550. VCVRA 0101 is a different designation not generally used to identify printers.

If this is indeed a Deskjet 5550, a new power cord can be purchased at online stores. (HP does not sell them.)

The part number you need (if in the US) is 0950-4081. An optional cord would be 0950-4082. Here is one such online store that has them:

http://store.l-f-l.com/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?pg=prod&ref=0950-4081

You can probably find others using google. Just do a search for HP 0950-4081.

Thanks for using Fixya.

(If not in the US, let me know. It would be a different power cord.)

I need to find a cord that goes into my HP deskjet scanner/copier

You want a USB printer cable. You can get it at any store that sells electronics or printer supplies.
I added a link to the users setup manual so you can see what you need.

I need a power cord to go to a new Hp deskjet F4100 series, All in One I just bought and it did not have a power cord with it. I want to keep it because I already have one and like it very much.

You can buy the power cord at any computer shop for $3, the printe uses a generic three prongs computer cable:

If instead the whole power adapter is missing , that costs over $30, in that case, better contacting the seller, here is a picture of the adapter:
