Actually my pc is built in vista now i chang the window to xp2002.the problem is now there is no sound in my pc. model is toshiba satellite a200 1ub

you cannot blame windows xp because according to me it is such OS that it removes many problems of windows 7 and vista.windows 7 and vista makes your pc much slow and many features dont work but windows xp is free from these errors.actually you hear the sound but nothing appears on the screen.this is because your cpu fan is running which takes somes time to stop.may be some problem of the hardware especially the mainboard.go to any repair shop and just get it checked.

Once in a blue moon, the driver that works in Vista will work in XP. Try a forced install. You can also Google the model of the sound card (motherboard if the sound is integrated) and see if there is a XP driver that way. Good luck.

I have the same problem with toshiba laptop's because they are branded to vista and my client's want XP. Simply put back Vista.

He simply put it there and said nothing...

I am only going to say this once........vista is the best ........ believe me alot of people are afraid of vista ... I cannot understand why may I ask you SIR why are you changing from Vista to XP when they are both the same OS .......it is senceless ........exeriment man oh man experiment you will succomb.................

Put your Laptop's model P100(PSPAA)
short model PSPAAE, your OS etc., sound driver, then click search.

Windows vista drivers are not supporting for windows Xp.Better to u take sound drivers from nearest Toshiba showroom or service center.
