Computer care plan

The CD that came with the Computer Care Plan 2-year extended service protection will not stay in the holder -- just falls out. What must I do to keep the cd in place?

Dear uddhav, you can make a presentation by making slides by putting the main initiatives of strategy in bulleted points. You can choose a nice template and start your presentation. As far as i know there is no default template for product planning presentation in power point. You'll have to design one for yourself.

You can attach excel sheets though to show quantitative calculations. You can import charts from excel into presentation too. You might like to add pictures too.

It depends on the warranty you purchased. Most basic warranties do not cover accidental damage, such as the damage your laptop sustained. Your best bet is to contact Gateway directly - they will be able to determine your warranty coverage. (Or if you purchased through a store like Best Buy, take it to them.) If you do not have ADP, you would have to pay for the repairs out of pocket.

if you live in the uk i can offer you a few contacts who will give you a price who will cover but it might be worth once it breaks just to buy a new one because then you will have a years new warrenty on the product. MP520 is not really worth extended service plan to be honest.

I purchased the 2 yr extended plan, thought the cd installed, it didn't and now I do not have the receipt with the info to install it, I paid cash for laptop and care plan


Contact the organization from which you purchased the plan.

Give them your name, and the serial-number on the bottom of your Toshiba, so that they can search their records, to prove that you have purchased, and do qualify for support.

As part of the Sony commitment to quality, Sony is announcing that it is extending the limited warranty (parts and labour) in Canada on the optical block of 2006 model SXRD televisions (models listed above) until June 30, 2010 , regardless of purchase date. This extended warranty does not apply to replaceable projection lamp and other parts that may be used in the televisions.
Sony is also announcing that for any owner of these model SXRD televisions who paid out-of-pocket expenses on or before December 31, 2008 for an estimate or repair service to replace the optical block, Sony will reimburse the customer by mail for the cost of the optical block and the labour expense to replace it, subject to certain conditions. To receive reimbursement, please follow completely the directions on the claim form for reimbursement attached HERE; all claims must be postmarked by January 31, 2009. See the claim form for complete terms and conditions.
In addition, for any customer who later experiences this issue on one of the affected models, Sony will cover the cost of the optical block repair (parts and labour) at no charge through June 30, 2010.

Hi need my external hard drive replaced.staples said to notiify you,s and i would receive a number ,for which i would take that number to staples and they will replace it i have a three year warranty on...


I work at staples, let me try to explain. There are two types of protection plans(extended warranties) at staples. One is for laptops, desktops and other large complicated devices. This is a Technical Support and Protection Plan. If this is what the person gave you on your external hard drive, then this is wrong. TSPP's do not cover small devices like the one you just described.

The other isnt even considered a protection plan, its a Product Replacement Plan. This is what you should have got for your device. This is normally much cheaper than the protection plan and doesn't consist of technical support. Once the manufacturer's warranty is over, the replacement plan kicks in. If your device starts to malfucntion, you call the 1-800 number and tell them what is going on. If it falls under non-abuse and non-accidental damage then they will do whatever is necessary to get a new one in your hands.

I dont know what number you are talking about. Once they sell you the protection plan, it is out of their hands. You really only have 14 days to return it to the store and get a refund on the protection plan-- after that, you are on your own.

I got a replacement plan for my portable hard drive beucase I knew I would be traveling with it a lot for my work. These things are handy if you think that the life expectancy of your device isnt going to be that long.

The tray has a force open button, its a pinhole you need to find a paper clip and stick it in the hole the door will open on its own power and you should be able to get it out.

Trying to register 2 year service plan for dvd player, called the phone number it said to go to www.repairnow.com/walmart, now what do i do because it does not come up?


Had same problem, trying to register the 2 yr. service plan purchased at the same time I purchased the xbox 360. Called the 877-968-6391 service phone number, automated voice system gives you about 4 options to choose from. I did the option 1 trying to preregister the 2 yr. service plan, and it also indicated to go to the web site to register, but found no option to do so on the web site. Called back the same phone number, pressed option 3, then pressed option 4, was some how able to speak to a customer representative, who informed me that you don't have to preregister the 2 yr. service plan. She said you hang on to your receipt, your receipt should show the 2 yr. service plan number that you purchased, in the event that you have a problem with the product that you purchased, then you call the 800 service plan number shown on your receipt to get help for repairs on your purchased product. At least that's what I was told, and I hope that's the way it works, after you purchasing a service agreement for extra money!

Wal-mart's computer care is a scam.


I work for the Wal-Mart PC Care program. The PC Care program is free, it provides assistance in installing a year worth of virus protection. Anything beyond that is on a pay for fee service. It does not replace the original Dell warranty (which as pointed out) you were under. The little card board disk hold clearly states that you should save your receipt here. The receipt can be generated again at the local store. A customer can also purchase an extended service that comes info effect after the original warranty expires. It is not a bad plan, but it does pay to read and know what the plan covers. You still need to contact Dell as you are under their warranty. Pre-existing conditions are not covered by any extended service plan.
