You can blow through it or put a drill bit down it to clean the conections where the tubes push on

Goodman GKS9. I have this unit in a condo that I only use sparingly in the winter. I keep the dual thermostats both at 57 and it maintains that tempeature. The problem is that when the thermostat is raised...

The presure switch is breaking down try taking the tubes off and blowing down the switch , or take a small drill bit and clean inside the connections to the pressure switch some times this becomes blocked .

Furnace problems

On - OK
1 Blink - Ignition failure. Check Gas flow, gas pressure, gas valve, flame sensor.
2 Blinks - Closed pressure switch. Check pressure switch (stuck in closed position).
3 Blinks - Pressure switch - failre to close. Check venter, pressure switch, vent blockage.
4 Blinks - Open limit switch. Main limit or aux limit are open. (My comment - Means overheating in chamber. Often result of blocked intake air. Bad filter. In my case, plastic wrap had been sucked into the intake. )
6 Blinks - False flame sensed. Check sticking gas valve.
Rapid continuous blinking - Incorrect twinning, incorrect primary polarity. Reverse transformer secondary leads, reverse primary wires.

Closed pressure switch can be from dirty combustion vents, bad chamber pressure - like missing screws, maladjusted gas pressure, failing pressure switch, loose hoses, moisture in the hoses or fan blades The switch need to be closed to ge the unit to work

Diagnostic light blinks three times. there is no obstruction in the vent ani I blew on the presure line and it seemed to be open as I could hear a click. I s there a reset button?

Blow in the opposite direction on the pressure line, blowing or sucking towards the pressure switch will click, and let you know it's working, however what you're looking for is an obstruction in the port on the other side of that tube, which would be giving the pressure switch a false reading. So blow through in the other direction, it should flow. If not, take a paperclip and **** out that port.
Also, I believe 3 blinks on a goodman could also mean failure to light. Which is most likely an ignitor failure. If you can get a visual on the ignitor, look for a crack. if not; take a multimeter, put it on the continuity test (the meter should beep when the terminals touch). unplug the ignitor and put the terminals in either side of the plug (from the ignitor, not from the control board) It should beep, representing continuity through the ignitor. if it doesn't then the ignitor has failed (to be sure pull it out and look very closely for cracks, sometimes only represented by a white line) and needs to be replaced.
Good luck.

My Goodman furnace, model GMS80903BNA, is not working. I removed the back panels and checked the pressure switch. That seems to be working fine. The exhaust inducer spins up, the igniter starts to glow,...

That blinking 3 times is indicating a pressure switch problem. Try checking for water or a blockage in any of the hoses going to the pressure switch or condensate drain. Check the air intake and exhaust pipe for any blockage including any saggs that may hold water. Make sure condensate drain or pump is working. If you get a glow from the igniter, there may be a blockage in the gas valve or piping.

Pressure switch stuck open. I'm getting three blinks. Is is possible to fix this myself.

Hi, yes you can. The pressure switch is just stuck open causing the unit not to fire up. Find the small inducer motor that should be running, if its not and you have the panel off, you have a switch for the panel to kill the power when you take it off. You will have to tape it down with duct tape to restore power. You will see a clear plastic air tube coming from the motor and goes to this pressure switch. Pressure from the motor is what opens and closes the switch. Unplug it at the motor and blow through it several times. You will hear it click. Do this back and forth and it will break it loose. This will solve the problem. Kill power to reset unit. Start it up and your done. If it continues to do this, get a new pressure switch at a appliance parts house. Let me know the out come and please be kind when you rate me as I know you will. Good Luck,

Hi 3 blinks should mean it is the pressure switch there should be a code in the manual or inside of the door

Need to find the pressure switch on my goodman furnace

It's mounted onto the gas valve. It will be a button or lever that you have to push in or down, depending on the style.

I replaced pressure switch and the light is still blinking three times what is wrong

that means pressure switch failure,
with that particular failure you may want to check
you inducer blower, and your ducting between
usually when you get this failure , its more than likely your inducer is not creating enough flow to trigger the pressure sw.
rather than an actual failure of thepressure switch
read you amps at the inducer it should read around .6 running
