Question about Computers & Internet

2 Answers

I'm having problems setting up my Panasonic BL-C131A Network Camera to access them through the internet. I have a Zhone 6211 DSL Modem connected to my wireless broadband router. I can view the cameras on my local network just not on the internet. I think I need to do some kind of port forwarding to make this whole thing work.

Have you read the "review" on Amazon for this Cam? The 1st review input was from a person posting how to resolve this issue. I used this to resolve the issue I had which was similar... Basically, configure your DSL Modem to be in Bridge Mode rather than Router Mode... As I understand it, most DSL Modems are configured to be a 1-Port Router which is not compatible with web access to the camera...

When i switch to wireless mode, camera stays in;privacy mode

Unfortunately the electronic operating instructions are not available from the support website and have to be purchased from Panasonic.
I think it will be a case of re-setting the camera to factory settings and re-program the webcam again

I dont have the installation cd and i dont know how to get the drivers

  1. Goto:
  2. Select download site. I clicked on the USA flag.
  3. Scroll down and find your model: BL-C131A
  4. Click on one of the icons to the right of the model number to download either firmware, drivers, or manuals for this camera. In this case, I'd click on the All column to see everything available for your camera

Zhone 6211 no driver usb for WinXp, only for Vista and Windows 7.

Please ensure that your PC is updated to accept/connect to USB devices in your (O/S).

Download your USB DSL modem driver at this link:

You have to check your modem specs though. It looks like this:
ADSL+, 6211-I2, Bridge/Router. etc.

After you download it, install the driver (plug out the modem and plug it in back. The USB detection will initiate, and ask for driver. Use the downloaded driver and
it will say NDIS Remote Driver..... THIS IS FINE. You may have to go to network in control panel and make your fine tuning as you require (setup lan icon, firewall, etc). Thats it !

PS. Yes it does work. I just installed it about an hour ago, USB and all, WindowsXP 64 bit !

Zhone linksys router

-- who is your internet service provider
-- what is the operating system of your computer?
-- is this working fine before or is this a brand new router

i have read the same problem on the supportrix forum and you may try this and see if this help solve your problem. make sure your computer is directly connected to the router

Step 1: Shutdown the computer.
Step 2: reset the router while power on then Unplug the router’s power cable.
Step 3: Unplug the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Plug in the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for its lights to appear stable.
Step 5: Plug in the router's power cable once the modem’s lights appear stable.
Step 6: Power on the computer on and configure the router settings
Step 7: test the Internet connection.

if this still didnot work, upgrade the firmware of your router and repeat the same steps.
configuring the router settings will depends who is your provider. if your isp is dsl you need to configure your ISP username (email address format) and password on the router. if your router is a cable no need to change any settings on the router. it should automatically work

BL-C30A Can not access via web after a few days

Your cameras are losing conncetivity because of the air link being compromised this could be due to unintentional jamming (blocking of the wifi signal)or Resetting of the beacon (beacons can be set to broadcast at intervals) They are needed for the wifi devices to know that they are still a part of the network. These are more then likely your problem
