Re: what watch battery do i need?
If you are asking for that, it means you want to replace battery yourself, and if you do, you will have to open your watch anyway. So, open it, take the battery out and memorise all the writings on the battery. This is the type of battery you need. Do not forget to rate, please. If I was wrong with my guess, then submit all the writings on your watch caseback and dial, please....and do not rate yet.

this watch requires no battery. It uses solar cells. my watch did this as well. to make the watch functional again my advice is to not wear the watch for one day and place it near a window that gets a lot of sun.
I have a Casio g-shock gw-330a and now find myself again replacing the band. So far, $60 on bands. They last me two or three years. To install the band, take the band and watch to a Jeweler. My local Sears does it for me. $5 for installation; $5 for purchase shipping; $20 for band. $30 every couple of years.
This cost disturbs me.
Change the battery. This happened with mine along with the battery needing charging more frequently. In my opinion, Casio's assertions that you won't need to change the battery is pretty much of a joke. My jewler concurred.
After changing the battery I can now press the light switch button and the watch works normally.
My watch had the same problem and i could never figure out what it was so i just lived with it for a couple of years. then, just recently even when my watch was getting plenty of sun the battery would die in the evening and shut off at night. so i replaced the battery and evrything works great. even the light which leads me to believe the solar panel is just a gimmick. i have an old g-shock watch that i bought in 1989 and it still works and is on the origional battery. my gw 300 is about 5 years old and needed a battery. i guess 5 years on a battery is prety good but i would rather have it last for 19 years like my old one.
