I have had this machine for a while now. The first time I encountered the lack of suction issue I cleaned the machine and reset it into its cradle. Each time I use it, I take care to make sure it is cleaned before putting it away. However, this time I can establish suction only through the hand tool, not the base tool and it is minimum suction at best. Is this just poor quality? Or is there a built in design fault that only allows a short period of usage. At this point I am discouraged - I was told that Bissell products were dependable but this one has been nothing but frustration for the year and a half I have had it...

What a piece of ****. I used mine about 6 times and the last 2 times I used it, it kept making a popping noise and stop sucking. I'm looking for an answer to this problem and it seems the only solution is to throw it out and never buy another Bissel product.

Like everyone else (!) your lint filter is probably clogged. It is located on the top clear palstic section (the one with the dial to switch from tool to floor use) and is on the underside. It is a small (1 inch square) red plastic filter with a little door on it. Flip the door open and you will probably find it is clogged with hair, carpet fibre., etc.. Clean it out and you should have suction again.

My attachments tool has no suction. I made sure I have selected tools and I cleaned the lint filter. There is definitely suction in the machine, but it does not come through the attachments hose.

Check the attachment hose for any hindrances like clogged with dirt or object. Also a big hole cracks in hoses will cause suction to divert it outside. Clean the machine to make sure it will provide suction powerfully. Regularly clean it and you will assure it's will perform better.
Thanks for asking.

I have the bissell x2 12 amp carpet shampooer

The water should be picked up fairly rapidly into the area surrounding the clean water bladder. Try checking the lint filter to fix your suction problem. It is located in the top clear plastic section (the one with the dial to switch from tool to floor use). One the under side of it there is a small (1 inch square) red filter with a little door on it. Flip open the door and it is probably clogged with hair, carpet fibre. etc.. Clean it out and you should have suction.

No suction of liquid off floor.

This unit has to have some type of clogg in the hose or unde neath the unit. Check to make sure that you have suction in the hose first.

Bissel Pro Heat Turbo attachment does not work.

Something is probably clogging up the suction.
Try to snake it out with a coat hanger or similar tool.
Often, especially with shedding pets hair will clog the suction pipes
Hope this is helpful.

Good Luck!
