I have new toshiba c66O and it tells me to install by plugging into mains, but what happens then, will i be able to do the rest of whatever, am a complete novice

It is not unusual when installing large software packages for them to instruct you to plug in the laptop, this is to prevent a loss of power from your battery running out during instillation. Once the instillation is complete, you can unplug the computer and continue as normal.

Good Luck!

I need a manual for a Pioneer Audio/Video Multi channel Receiver VSX-1016TXV

Hello,

click the below link to view the manual.

The user guide below is in PDF format. So you need the ltest version of adobe acrobat reader to be able to view the manual.

Also, you need to wait and allow the manual load completely, before you scroll through it for view. And you can print out the manual for future reference.

If the manual page is small and unreadable, expand the view by pressing Ctrl and + (plus) on your keyboard to increase the view. Thne Ctrl and - (minus) to reduce if it becomes too large.

Removal and replacement of brake shoes 1999/2000 on ford escort e

Hi
Firstly put the hand brake on and loosen the wheel nuts, jack the car and remove the wheel, if you turn the wheels out so you have a better view. then remove the 2 10mm bolts from the rear of the brake caliper, there will be a hard tough wire coming over then brake caliper pop this off with a screw driver or pliers. now open the bonnet and remove the cap from the brake fluid bottle. once done leave it off and then retun to the brakes, get a flat screw driver and place it between the inner most brake pad and the brake disc then push the 2 apart, once these have been moved lift the caliper off and the brake pads should come free. the caliper has a cylider/ round part that pushes the pads against the disc ensure that the cylider is pushed right back into the caliper using some big grips large pliers. once the cylinder is right back you should be able to fit the new pads. replace all the parts in reverse order, but before putting the wheel back on push the brake pedal several times until the pedal feels hard. then replace the wheel and do the other side. once complete check the fluid level on the brake fluid and replace the cap.

This is a fairly easy job should take a novice about 40mins a side but if your quite savvy with cars then you can complete the whole job in about an hour.

Hope this helps if not please get back to me so I can be more accurate, and talk you through it.

Regards
Dan

Typeface too big for monitor

Open the preferences menu in your browser and set the desired font sizes. It is possible someone has set minimum font size to too large a value. This works in Firefox. I am not sure about IE, as I don't use that crappy program unless i am forced to.
It is usually best to set minimum font sizes and allow the site to set the font to any value greater than the set value. Make this value the size you can read comfortably. Warning, anything smaller than 8 points is hard to read,

PC laptop infection braviax.exe

Try this method as virus removals are tricky if you are a novice.
Before we start fixing anything you should print out these instructions or copy them to a NotePad file so they will be accessible. Some steps will require you to disconnect from the Internet or use Safe Mode and you will not have access to this page.

Download SDFix and save it to your desktop.(GOGGLE IT)
Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(this is the drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix). DO NOT use it just yet.

Reboot your computer in SAFE MODE" using the F8 method. To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup [but before the Windows icon appears] press the F8 key repeatedly. A menu will appear with several options. Use the arrow keys to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

Open the SDFix folder and double click RunThis.cmd to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services or Registry Entries found then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts, the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt.
  • Finally copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt in your next reply along with a new HijackThis log.
