D854gvsr motherboard manual

David,

Intel Support > Intel D845GVSR Desktop PC motherboard > Product Guide download page, (Motherboard Manual),

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d845gvsr/sb/cs-008823.htm

On this page click on the blue -
Intel Desktop Board D845GVSR Product Guide (PDF)

Ignore the following if you are aware;
This is a PDF file. The computer you are using now has Adobe Reader on it, which uses PDF files.

After you click on the above file name, it may take up to 30 seconds before the first page comes up.
(The file is downloading to your computer in the background. When it has fully downloaded, the first page pops up)

The Zoom In icon ( + ) increases the view size.
The Zoom Out icon ( - ) decreases the view size.

The PDF file page number box is to the Right of the Down Arrow.
You can use the Down Arrow to go through, page by page, or IF you know the page you want, you can do this;

1) Put your mouse cursor in the page number box. Left-click Once.
2) Type the page number
3) Press the Enter key

The front of your computer is the Front Panel.
The area of contact pins on the motherboard, that the wires from the Front Panel go to, is the Front Panel header. (Wires such as the Power On switch, Power On LED light, HarDDrive activity LED light, Reset switch, {IF a Reset switch is used )

Page 11 shows a basic Top View illustration of the motherboard.
The motherboard in the illustration is turned 90 DEGREES to the Right, in comparison to how it sits in your computer.

Page 12.
The Front Panel header is shown by the letter S.

If you have further questions about your motherboard, just state in a Comment.

My bank account and facebook page shrunk?

are these the only pages that have reduced in size? it could be a problem with your zoom on these web pages or a problem with the resolution
on the top of the page you should see some tabs file edit view favourites tools and help click on the view tab on the drop down list you should see a zoom size % click a different percentage also a text size you might try a different text size although this will not increase the size of the page only the text inside it if you dont see these tabs right click in the top of your screen you will see a number of toolbars and options select the menu tab this will put these tabs in the toobar
click start control panel, display, desktop you can select a different desktop from the drop down list
or a browse button where you can select different pictures this may vary depending on your operating system
also settings you can change the settings for more or less pixels or from the drop down list pick the appropriate level of color range or troubleshoot also select advanced then general dpi normal size, larger size or custom settings
always click APPLY after making any changes

hope this helps

No audio device

Visit this website:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=3184154&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en

Once the page loads, select the Operating System currently installed on your computer. Once you select it, scroll down the page until you find the section labeled, "Original Drivers." Inside that section, locate and click on the link for, "Summer 2006 Original Realtek High Definition Audio Drivers." Now you will be taken to a page where you can download the drivers for your sound device.

Once you downloaded the driver, open it. An installation utility should open and begin the driver installation process. Once the installation is complete and you restarted your computer, you should have sound abilities again.

Let me know if I can assist you further, or if I need to explain any of my instructions with more detail. (If this solves your problem, please assist me by rating my solution.)

Update bios

Go to: http://www.asus.com/

(I am using the North-America English version of the website)
Now select your country/language. Afterward press, "Download" at the top of the page. After the new page loads you will once again press download (Either the button at the top or middle of the page will work). Now enter your motherboard model name into the download search field located at the top-left afterward selecting, "BIOS" as the, "Category." Now select your motherboard model once the search completes.

A pop-up appears, select the Operating System that is currently on your system (Example: Windows XP.)

Have fun choosing a BIOS.

Typeface too big for monitor

Open the preferences menu in your browser and set the desired font sizes. It is possible someone has set minimum font size to too large a value. This works in Firefox. I am not sure about IE, as I don't use that crappy program unless i am forced to.
It is usually best to set minimum font sizes and allow the site to set the font to any value greater than the set value. Make this value the size you can read comfortably. Warning, anything smaller than 8 points is hard to read,

INSALLING A MOTHERBOARD

From what little information I could find, your motherboard does NOT provide a CD_IN connector. ONLY the GA-PCV2-DVI version provides the connector you're looking for, while the GA-PCV2-DSI version of the m'board (the one you own) does NOT have the CD_IN connector... wish I had better news than that for you...

Just FYI, you can download a LARGE file (~55MB), which contains ALL of the drivers AND the m'board manual in .ZIP format directly from here:

http://www.idot.com.tw/en/downloads/MB-PC1000G1500G(GA-PCV2)/V1.0CD.zip

It took about 17 minutes to download that entire file to my HDD, over a broadband connection, so I can only guess that the server is restricting download speeds...

Once you download that file, you can unzip it and locate the manual (in .PDF format), which is the "PCV2_Series.pdf" file...

In the manual, you will find the information I've provided here on page 12, so you can verify what I've told you...

Good luck; I suspect you'll have to install a compatible soundcard with a CD-IN connector if you really want one...
