HI, could be the Brushes need replacing, take them out and have a look at them , they are located on either side of the motor, you will see
a black plastic nut or screw remove this and a wire within a spring will
pop out a little bit, gently pull this out and you see a black piece of carbon at the end of it, this is usualy 1/4--1/2 "long condition should look good , however , if it looks badly worn with a lot of grooving on the end then you must replace them.,if you think this is a wee bit difficult then you will have to contact a motor repair comp. or get them to fit a new motor as it sounds like yours is shorting out....T.C.

SOURCE: I have the Hitachi C10FL

Hi,
I assume that you have this direct wired...
What size wire are you using to run the saw and how far from the breaker panel to the saw???
Are there any other tools running off of the same subfeed or breaker panel???

The saw will often tripped because of low voltage caused by too light of wire going to the saw.

At 115v you will need a 40 amp circuit and at 240v you will need a 20 amp circuit and if you are running more then like 30 feet you should still have it wired with at least #10 ga. wire....

If this saw is not a new install and has just started to do this then check the motor and/or bearings to make sure that something is not causing it to run hard...
Of course the motor could also just be going bad...also...

SOURCE: my husband lost the set up instructions to his Hitachi table saw.

You can download the owners manual for all Hitachi products by going to http://www.hitachipowertools.com and selecting your product. Below is the link for the online pdf format owners manual for the saw in question.

SOURCE: I own a Hitachi 10CFR Table Saw. My question is:

After doing some research, I found that hitachi only recommends up to a 1/2 dado for this machine with most of the users agreeing that it probably does not have the stability or power to run a 3/4 inch safely. Meaning you probably can run the 3/4 but at you own risk.

Hitachi table saw motor just Hums.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Laundry Dryer.

Replace the start capacitor on the motor. The classis reason for humming and not spinning. The start capacitor gives the motor a jolt to get it running.

Hitachi C9U2 circular saw problems with starting. tries to start but won't go.

Could be a faulty capacitor. Without the rectified current and the added emf or oomph the motor cannot move or is not sure which direction to move in. so it may sit there buzzing or even set off in the wrong direction.

I have been using my Craftsman 10" Table Saw to

First things first, check the outlet that the saw is plugged into. Does it have power? If so then progress to the saw itself and check the reset button which is usually located on the front panel but sometimes on the back or sides. Press the button firmly to make sure it is not tripped and if it is this will reset it. Make sure the power is turned off and attempt to turn the blade manually ( caution,
the blade is sharp so a pair of gloves is recommended ). If the blade turns with very little resistance then turn the power back on and try the on/off switch. If the saw starts it may very well have been the circuit breaker that had tripped.

While cutting , i experienced a bind. Before the saw stopped I shut it off. Left overnight, now will not restart. I have pushed the thermal reset button, however it does not seem to engage. I have checked...

Is this a direct drive or belt drive saw? If belt drive, you can remove the belt and try spinning the motor by hand then turn it on. Sometimes they can get stopped in a dead spot. Do not get your hands/fingers in the way when turning it on. You may need all of them someday.
