Question about Emerson MBOX700 Portable Headrest Monitor with DVD Player Car Video Player
My wife and I recently purchased 2 Invision Revolution headrest monitors off of ebay. The units are supposed to work properly or so it was described as such. The monitors came without the wiring harness.Which I knew wasn't being sold with the monitors. I however did not know that these monitors have to use their own wiring harness in order to work. I would like to know if it is possible to make a simple wiring harness for these monitors with item that can be purchased at an electronics store. I spoke with the people at Invision and the man said that these wiring harnesses were made with a patented design so that not just anyone can install. Oh yeah the wiring harness was priced at $400.00-500.00 US. In my opinion thats alot of extra expense for monitors that I am not even for sure work properly. I guess that if there is a simple way to test these monitors for functionality I could more easily justify the expense. But if a cheaper way is out there I would love to know about it.These monitors came from a Hummer H3 2005 and if this problem is solved and everything works out they will be placed inside 2007 Hummer H3.
SOURCE: same problem as Johnston
What you may need to do is determine if the motor is even spinning the disk. If not check the motor circuitry. You will need a schematic and voltmeter. Onc you have these items get in contact with me and we can start working on thie issue.

While NTSC PAL and SECAM have some commons they cannot be easily converted to a reasonable picture without commercially expensive electronics ( $45,000,00) anything less would be almost not effective to make any picture viewable. the lines on PAL are greater in number than those on NTSC there is no way to add these lines without very sophiosticated technology.
Cheaper and less hassles to buy a new unit.

region codes are only available from the internet by bright people who have figured out how to "Hack" into the software of the device and they call this a "Region Hack", as of this date there are no unlock codes avail for this unit, most of the codes are for mainstream home units and not the car mounted DVD systems. The manufacturer will not provide software updates, the legal status of region hacking is under litigation to determine whether it is copywrite infringement, what this means that soon it will be illegal..
