Please check the speaker wire connections, the system may be detecting a crossed or shorted speaker wire and will not play.

Clicking noise on Multitech/Dolby setting

Did you experience this from the start (since the first time you used it) or did it started just recently? Check that the HDMI cable is connected properly at both ends and it's not near/touching any other cable or power supply. After checking this and if it is still there then it could be a fault with the cable. If you have another cable to try, that would be great.

Insignia akb36157101 does not power the tv any

Aim remote at the TV, hold down the TV Power button, and press the CH up button until the TV turns on/off. This cycles through 45 manufacturer codes.

I cannot turn off the TV,with the insignia remote control

Read the first time start up instructions .. This is what worked for me.

Hold the power-on/off button down while simultaneously pressing channel up , repeatedly for up to 45 times. when the TV shuts off stop, release the on off button.

you should be able to turn it on and off, if you went too far (pressed up arrow too many times), go the other way (holding down the on off and pressing channed down) until it turns on again.

No vaild cd when theres a cd in the dvd player

I'd be guessing the problem being just dirt and grime over the years. The open and close problem would be due to dirt and dust on the sensors that tell it wether the CD tray is open or closed and where it is whitin its tracks. You need to find them and clean them all with contact cleaner or rubbing alcohol, but to do so, first you need to take the whole thing apart to get to the CD reader part. So if you don't feel safe enough taking it all apart yourself, take it to your local technician and he'll do it. As for it not reading the CD/DVDs, that's also due to dirt and dust but on the optic lens of the reader this times though. You just need to clean it with a cue-tip and some windex or any good glass cleaner. Be careful when cleaning the little lens in the reader head though, cause it is very fragile, and also make sure to not turn it back on if there was some cleaner that got in the head itself. If you can't wipe it off carefully, just let it dry there for a few minutes or so and then turn it back on. Again if you don't feel safe enough taking all this apart, take it to the local tech and he will gladly do it for you.

Remote Control

From GUEST: I found this solution in the manual and will perform this task again to see if I can get the tv will be re-recognized again. Give this a try, too.

Remote will not turn on or shut off the TV.
• You must program the converter box remote in order to control your TV power button.
• To program the remote control:
    1. Determine if the TV is a model that can be controlled by the remote control. See "Controllable TV brands" on page 17 in the manual.
    2. Turn on the TV.
    3. While you press and hold TV POWER on the remote control, press CH ^ or CH v one or more times until the TV turns off. Each time you press one of these buttons, the remote control sends a manufacturer code (between 1 and 45) to the TV.
