Try connecting an external monitor to the laptop and powering it on. If the external monitor allows you to view the windows screen the display may be bad. Also try removing all the power sources, battery and power adapter, then reconnect and try booting the computer. While you are at it, check the contrast and brightness function key to see if the screen can be adjusted in.

You need to check your RAM, if in case, remove it, then you need to clean the terminals (the gold ones found in the bottom, then clean it with a pencil eraser, then put it back. do not use any cleaning liquids as this may destroy the RAM

Before starting your laptop up... try to remove and clean the connector surface of the memory card/s with pencil eraser, soft cloth or tissue paper. Then insert the memory card/s back properly. check the unit if it is booting up nicely.

Please check the cable that connects the monitor to the video card. Reseat the cable, the issue might be a loose connection. You can also try a known good monitor to isolate if it's the video card or monitor that is causing the problem. Something is preventing the monitor from receiving signals from the video card, hence the "no signal" message.

Processors do not fail unless they are mishandled or installed incorrectly. This system is very old and uses memory that is no longer available. Try starting your system with no memory, does it start to beep repeatedly? The memory may be at fault. No beep, could be the motherboard has failed.
You will not find replacement parts, you will need a new system.

No noise, no beeps whatsoever?
If no beeps, MBoard may be defective, or RAM might be bad, maybe one of the drives.
You need to d differential diagnosis.
Try removing everything but the CPU and see if it will POST.
If so, add 1 stick RAM, then 2nd stick, then Drive, then ,,,,,, until you find culprit.
If nothing works, would try another "known good" power supply
If that is no go, Mboard bad.

Pc turns on but nothing come on the screen.tried several things such as,substituting parts like the power supply, processor, memory, hard dirve.I also cleaned it.the only thing left is to try a pci express...

if nothing was showing up on the screen I would have checked the Video card first as its one of the simplest things to check but you need to borrow someone elses.

The light would be on cause the BIOS is looking for a hard drive. If you connect speakers or headphones see if you can hear windows booting up if there is something installed on it. If you can hear windows starting up good! its probably your video card. If nothing then your motherboard might be the culprit.

Blank monitor upon turning on PC

Well.... The motherboard could be dead... or check the power supply unit. Check the memory chips, see if the capacitors around the processor looks blown up (then motherboard is kaput) or make sure the monitor is properly connected to the motherboard monitor port... It could be numerous reasons ... See if the processor cooler fan is running and check if the processor's cooling paste is OK which would cause the processor to run TOO HOT and would prevent the PC to start-up etc etc....

Loud fan blank screen andthe fan is lousd.

check your memory, processor, PSU (power supply) and your motherboard, any one of these components could be the problem, if its intel it will be the processor or motherboard, if its AMD its no doubt memory or PSU. quick way to sort the problem in most cases is to reset the cmos/bios, this is situated near the battery on the motherboard in the pc ( if you have it right the pc will not turn on when you press the power button ) put the plastic jumper back in the possition you found it and restart your pc. if that doesn't work then look into what i said above

good luck

PS use a torch to see where the cmos reset is

Processor issue? bios/motherboard?

First, Pull the hard drive. If the hard drive shorts out it can cause all sorts of problems. Generally it detects Hdd before mouse and keyboard.
