Toshiba Remote control conflicts with another device

Toshiba AV501PR 32" TV problem:
TV's remote control conflicts with HD Media player's remote control. I mean when I press "left arrow" on toshiba's RC, HD Media player begins to do some actions for example. A lot of keys on both RC's conflicts.

How I can change RC address on toshiba TV ( and toshiba RC also).

Many thanks!

Thanks, but this is not a solution: this Device is HD Media player, that should be close to TV. And if I will put an opaque tape over the IR of any of Devices, i will be unable to control it :)

The most problem is that HD media player IAMM-37HD can't change IR address (that was said by someone from service).

Also I work with Echostar STB's and know how absolutely easy it is to change their REMOTE CONTROL ADDRESS.

Please advice how to change RC address on any of this two devices:
    1) IAMM-37HD
    2) TOSHIBA 32AV501PR 32" TV

    Many Thanks

I do not know of any possible address changes that can be made but the easiest solution is to put a piece of opaque tape over the IR eye on the device you use the least, the problem being that you can no longer remotely control that device.
The next easiest is to move the secondary device out of the line of sight and then just aim the remotes at different locations.

How to start t.v without remote

If the set has been shut down by its remote control for the last time, you should have a remote control to start it up again. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service center, or authorized dealer to your device brand.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its user manual. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. If you see the site by "MOSAIC" view, will make surf easier.

Toshiba 32a33. I'll be watching tv and the volume bar shows goes down to 0 (no sound) when it is in this mode the remote control will not work on the volume, you can get up and manually up the volume...

1st check to see if your remote volume down button is stuck. 2nd do you have wireless internet (router) or any other wireless devices phones, ceiling fans, another Toshiba remote, if so try unplugging them (or remove the batteries if it's a remote) while it's changing the volume one at a time. If a different device makes it stop try changing the channel on it. Also make sure the t.v doesn't have a mind of its own and remove the batteries out of the t.v remote, let it ride for a couple days if it happens without the remote being in play then you know your t.v is acting strange, if it stops then starts back up when you start using the remote again then you know your dealing with a remote issue. Sometimes Freq.'s merge causing remotes/wireless devices to conflict with each other.

HD Video Recorder - CEC connection with HDTV

My first question would be, Is your Panasonic HD recorder CEC compliant? CEC means Consumer Electronics Control. That simply allows for the consumer to have better control over their Home Theater set up through the connection of you HDMI cable from their remote control without programing the remote control for every single device that is connected. If your recorder is CEC compliant the television should have automatically recognize the recorder and control you recorder via remote control (I am assuming that your recorder is an HD Camcorder, since your description was very vague). Once you connect your HD camcorder to your panasonic tv the tv should have turned on switching to the correct input and the same for any other CEC comliant devices. If your Panasonic HD recorder is not CEC compliant the you would have to start viewing your recorder the old fashion way, by using the recorder remote control or if your Toshiba remote is universal punch those codes in so that you can control your devices that way. If that don't work, try a different HDMI input and select the input and make sure your recorder is set to output on you tv. Hope this helps.....before I forget, check out this site to learn more about Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) http://www.videsignline.com/howto/207400325

Remote will not control TV (but will control other devices)

Your remote control could still be the problem. Try another Toshiba remote on your TV or try your remote on another Toshiba and see what happens. Don't ever look past the easy repairs.
