Why does it go for a long time without doing it and then does it a lot only to quit again.

How come growing up with the corded phones never did this?

    Thanks,

What you hear is called acoustic feedback, the same thing when you get close to loudspeaker with mic. It is normal. The sound from headphone bounces of you hand where is picked up by mic, amplified and emitted back by headphone. A pitch would depend on how far is your hand from the receiver.

old phones did not have an amplifier inside. Appearance of the feedback really depends on sound waves from headphone reaching microphone. Shape of the receivers can help this too. If you can control loudness, turn it down bit, it'll stop

Acer TravelMate 5620 inbuilt microphone permenantly on.

It sounds like your AC Adapter Power Cord might be causing the problem. Try unplugging the power cord and running off the battery and see if you still hear the the noises. If not, buy a new power cord. The guys at: http://www.generalsystemsconsulting.com sells power cords for $35.00 and they will drop ship it to you. Their cords meet Manufacturers Original Equipment (OEM) specifications. They don't sell the one size fits all that the big box stores sell that could damage your motherboard.

When I plug in my guitar to the Fender Frontman 64R Amp and I just barely move the cord, it make this really loud screeching type noise. It's not an old amp; I got it about five months ago. I can't...

Yes, there are several possibilities. First thing is to disconnect your guitar and then plug in the cord to the amp. Expect a bit of hum. If it screeches, then problem is not feedback via the guitar. If it doesn't MAYBE your guitar is "hearing the amp" which the guitar is then a microphone and can feedback. Moving the cable generates electrical noise which can trigger the feedback to start.
If you get the screech without the guitar connected, then TRY a new guitar cable. Make sure it is an INSTRUMENT cable... I have seen some try to use speaker cables or junky 1/4 inch cables intended for home stereo... these will NOT work and can cause the feedback. The next possibility is a broken jack on the amp. This would require repair. The common cause of this is to fail to run the cord through the handle of the amp... one trip on the cord or step on it pulling the plug sideways in the amp and the jack is broken and it is a trip to the shop as well. While on the subject ALWAYS run the cord at the guitar end either through the strap or your belt loop. Cords left dangling keep rotating and soon wear out the plug and also the jack in the guitar and then that has to go to the shop.

The springs are not broke, the door sometimes goes up but does not always go down. prees the door opener and you can here it turn on but nothing happens sometimes. Sometimes it will go up.

Use the pull cord and disconnect the opener from the door. Operate the

opener and let the carrier slide back away from the door. Is the carrier

moving smoothly when disconnected? Next, lift the door by hand from the

bottom to the top. Is it moving smoothly? If not, lubricate the axles of all the

rollers on both sides of the door. Check the cable pulleys at the top sides of

the door channel, lubricate them as well. Are all cables in all the pulleys, there

are 4. After checking those things, there is a "up force" and "down force"

adjustment on the opener, try increasing the "down force" by turning the

adjustment in the direction of MORE force.

Good Luck,

Gary

Error 5110

This error is one of the most common issues with Canon printer. Let me share my experience and how I used to fix this error.

First, turn off the printer, unplug the usb cable and power cord. Now, also turn off the computer (it needs to be restarted since the error is showing on the computer and will never go until you restart the system).

I hope you are not using longer usb cable other than the one that came with the printer. Sometimes long and defective cable causes this problem.

When you turn on the machine, open the lid (front panel door) and help move the cartridge carriage with your hand so that it'll move sideways. Sometimes when the carriage stuck, this happens.

If the above tips don't help, you need to call Canon and ask them your problem. If you are in the U.S. use this number to call Canon "1-800-OKCANON" or you can write using this form (Click here)

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

The electric brake on my saw is engaging very late. And the saw "screeches" to a stop. What's happening? I've only used it a hand full of times.

could be the commutator bearing is going bad for the screeching and then if the commutator is dirty the brake might not function properly. They make a special stone to "clean" a dirty commutator. Let me know and I will try and help further if you need assistance

SCREECHING AUDIO

My Vizio (don't know model # off hand, 32" bought at WalMart in Jan), is doing the same thing. It did it once the day I set it up; thinking it was just a glitch or something about my lack of knowledge with HDTVs, I powered it off (the hard way, yanking the power cord, as it won't turn off any other way) and restarted it, everything seemed OK. It did it again around April, same thing, just a glitch I figured. I changed some cables, attached more devices, and it has been doing it about twice a week now.

Sometimes it is the full video lockup, with vertical green lines, and full blast audio screech. A couple times it has only partially locked up the video (green vert lines, but still some movement), and no audio screech. Did it last night most recently, hence my google search.

Anyway, my point is, this is probably more common than we were both thinking, and they know just from your description what the problem is. I would try to have them repair such a known-issue free of charge, even out of warranty.
