You will need to download your drivers from packard bell, select your country and enter the laptop serial number printed on service tag, then select download drivers and download and run the audio driver.

No audio output device is installed!!!!help

A lot of the newer audio chipsets (especially in laptops) use Microsoft's Universal Audio Architecture (UAA). Windows 7 and Vista don't need a separate driver, but XP does. So you need one of Packard Bell's combo driver packages like this one:

There are a lot of different EasyNote models, so if this isn't the right package for your computer, enter your serial number in the support site to find the specific downloads.

NO SOUND DRIVER FOR PACKARD BELL EASYNOTE ON XP

Hello i know how it is to search for drivers. It is a pain in the neck!!! now because you do not have your computers model number and because i do not have access to your computer to see it for myself i cannot really do much. However I can reffer you to a very powerful tool known as Unknown Device Identifier, this software will find every piece of hardware attached to your PC it looks exactly like windows Device manager. all you simply have to do is run the software and look down the list untill you see a device labeled as unknown then to the left of this Unknown device you will see a + sighn, simply click this and detailed information about your unknown device will then appear just beneath it. simply read the detailed information and it may even be able to give you your driver model number so then you can just google it and download your drivers. Here is the link to the Unknown Device Identifyer.>

read the page before you download it if you want to because it has detailed information on exactily how it works and what it does i also belive that in the new version it may be able do download the driver for you. anyway I hope this is some help to you Good luck but im really shure that the unknown device identifyer can help you out.

Have dropped my laptop and the sound is intermittently slow and heavily distorted

You'll need to replace the motherboard, the computer does not have a separate sound card. Very expensive to fix unless you can do the work yourself.

What you will need to do is open up the computer case and physically remove the soundcard. On the souncard should be a make and model on the circuit board. If you can't see it on the top of the board, it may be on one of the larger integrated circuits (ICs). Most likely it will either be an ESS or Crystal sound card. From there, you can use a service like driverguide.com to find the drivers.

Be sure to firmly seat the card back in when you re-install it. You do not want it half in and half out of the slot, that could damage the computer or soundcard.

    I hope this helps!
