What are the color code of the wires to switch terminals

Almost!
the black screw is the "common" so the hot wire or the colored wire (usually black or red) bringing power in goes on to the black screw and all white wires (neutral) get connected together. you need to verify which wire has constant power when all wires are disconnected and separated first.

*White wires all connected together separate of the switch
green screw = ground or bare wire
black screw = hot wire/ wire with constant power
silver screws = (switched terminals) black or colored wire from each device being powered (eg. light) per screw

Magic bullet base is full of particles

Yes its easy to take the Magic Bullet apart.

1. First pry out the 4 black rubber feet on the base with small screwdriver and unscrew the 4 cross head screws revealed below.

2. Remove this black base to reveal the inner black base Unscrew the cable clamp - 2 screws and the 3 screws that retain the remaining black base to the body of the bullet - slide it off over the power cable.

3. Turn the bullet the proper way up and pry out the 3 white rubber bumpers with a screw driver blade that are set inside for the cup to rest on - each is located with two rubber pins. Once all 3 are removed you will reveal 3 more cross head screws - these countersunk - remove all 3 and then the internal motor will be free to lift out through the top of the Bullet casing.

4. Its possible to slip out the 3 white plastic sliders - taking care to note how they seat each on a small spring to cleanup both the slides and the sliders.

To re assemble step by step in reverse - noting to align the motor cable with the cutouts on the bullet base.

Can you replace a melted cord

I posted the reply pasted below on how to take the Bullet apart - really not difficult once you know where the hidden screws are apart. Once apart it easy to see where the power cable terminates and should be easily possible to connect in a new cable in its place.

If you have 3 white and 3 black as well as a ground, how do you hook it up ?

If I understand correctly, your are replacing a GFCI receptacle with another GFCI receptacle

And your existing GFCI has 3 black and 3 white wires

And there is not a switch involved in the changeover.

I downloaded the manual from Lutron
http://classic.lutron.com/CMS400/techinfopage.aspx?id=22163

Every wiring diagram in manual shows:
Black wires connect to brass-colored screws
White wires connect to silver-colored screws

The brass and silver colored screws are typical of all residential receptacles. The color-code tells the electrician which terminal gets the black and white wires.

Are you having a problem putting 3 wires onto 2 screws?
It is a common problem.
You can buy a short piece of white and black wire at hardware store
Lets work on the black wires as example:
Strip back insulation on short piece of black wire
Hold together two of your black wires and start twisting them together
Now add the short wire to the two black wires you started twisting
Now twist together the two blacks and short black
So three wires are twisted together and you have a short lead that can connect to screw on GFCI
Put a wire nut over the twisted wire
Now you're ready to connect other end of short black wire to brass-colored screw
This reduces the number of wires that connect to screws

I have a 110 Pool Pump and I am trying to wire it into a Tork1103NC timer. From the pool pump I have a black, white and green wire that I need to wire into the timer. Can you tell me what position those...

0fde0d6.jpg

Here is Tork 1103 wired for single load.

1) The green pump wire and bare copper wire go to green ground screw
2) Pump black wire goes to pole 2, the NO (normally open) pole
3) Pump white wire goes to unmarked screw

4) Black from circuit breaker goes to pole L
The T1103 comes with a removable brass bar that connects pole L and pole 1
If that removable brass bar is not there, then add a jumper between pole L and pole 1 as shown in diagram above
5) White neutral from breaker box goes to unmarked pole (all whites connect to unmarked pole)

In your case, pole X is not used. Pole X is NC or normally closed > which means the power is ON continuously until timer turns on, and when timer turns ON, the NC pole turns OFF

Can you tell me how to replace the cord from a 3 to a 4 wire plug?

You have a block on dryer with three screws in it, the new 4 wire has black (hot), red (hot), white (neutral), green (ground) wires. Black goes to left screw, red to right screw, green and white to center screw. or white to center and green to screw holding cover that hides block.

There is a small platic bushing on the exit transport that wears and pops out. Or just pops out for no reason.
To get to it you have to remove the scanner.
Here is how to do that. Unscrew the white cable on the back of the machine that runs to the document feeder. Lift the feeder off and set it aside.
Open the front door as if you were replacing the toner or drum. You will see 2 silver phillips screws above the toner cartridge. Remove those two screws.
Go to the back of the machine and remove the six screws that hold the back cover on, and remove that cover.
Look under the edge of the scanner at the back. You should use a magnetic phillips screw driver, but under that ledge you will look back about 3 inches, There are 3 more phillips screws to remove. One on each end and one in the middle.
There are 2 connectors you will have to remove from the main board toward the top. There is a flat white ribbon cable. Just pull it straight out. One black connector with about 16-20 red wires . And remove the green wire attached to the metal above those connectors with one phillips screw. Then pull the scanner back toward yourself and the scanner will come off. Once you have the scanner removed you will see the exit transport, it is dark gray. Look at the front end of the transport and see if that bushing is popped out. Or if the small drive belt on the back is broken.
You can replace that transport pretty easy, It is only another 4 phillips screws.
If you need to order that or any other part, I would recommend googling a business called " The Parts Drop". Call and ask for Britt or Elaine.
More than likely they will have that part, the proper part, at the best price.
Hope this helps.

We are replacing the fuel filter in a 98 pontiac transport. The new wiring harness came with a purple, grey & 2 Black wires. The OE harness comes with purple, grey , black and a white/black. How do you...

Assuming you mean replacing the fuel PUMP, the 2 wires are different guages. Connect the lighter wire to the lighter wire and the heavier wire to the heavier wire. If the new harness uses both the same size wires, the heavier wire on the vehicle side (solid black) is for the fuel pump ground. Lighter wire is for fuel guage sending unit.

Nakamichi BX-2 Cassette Deck Takeup Reel

I had sorta the same problem and I just fixed it. Mine was making clicking noises and jerking the tape causing speed variations and pitch changes, Uggghh. The FF, Rew, and take up functions are not belt driven like most decks. There is a little idler wheel between the motor and the take up axle. Take the whole transport assembly loose from the front of the deck...slide it back 3 inches . Take off the ground wire screw, and 3 screws holding the transport mechanism in place :...1 screw on top, 2 on bottom. Take the black front faceplate off of the drive...2 little screws. This exposes everything. The little idler wheel has a press on tiny, tiny piece of clear plastic holding it onto its little axle. Be hella careful. Use a tiny eyeglass screwdriver to pry it up and off. Dont lose it. Pull the idler wheel off. The rubber has hardened and slips. Pry the rubber rim off of the white plastic pulley using the tiny screwdriver. Put on an O ring that just fits. Scruff up the perimeter of the O ring with 220 sandpaper, Easy does it. Idler wheel goes back in, press on the little plastic retainer, put the black metal plate back on( 2 screws at top), slide the transport mechanism back into the front panel, secure with 3 screws, ground strap, replace cover. Clean heads, demagnetise, badda bing, badda boom.
