Do all single din car dvd players get hot?
My radio gets very hot at times and i switch it off for fear of it burning out can anybody help me with this?
There is a lot of heat generated and not a lot of ventilation so the answer to your question is yes, they all get hot. Now the question is what is too hot? Certainly we don't want it so hot as to roast marshmallows on or to melt anything or even WITHOUT TOUCHING IT too hot to touch. If it truly gets that hot there may be some trouble with the speaker or power wiring that is making it work too hard.

Get the harness for your car. Any local stereo shop will have it. Also pick up the dash mounting kit. It will have the instructions to take your dash apart.
No, it has no video input from what I can find. This Single Din Head Unit with a 7" display states that it has an axillary Audio\Video input. It would work with a backup camera.
The simplest way to swap the stock radio out for the cassette player would be to go to a radioshack or bestbuy, normally they will carry a double-din to single-din adapter so that the smaller after market radio fits into the existing location snugly. They usually also carry a wiring harness adapter that will plug right into your dodges existing harness and you can just wire nut or solder & shrink wrap the adapter to the pioneers harness, saves a lot of time and insures everything is where it needs to be.
Normally you can get both adapters for under $15, hope this is helps.
You need an adapter for a double din to a single din radio. You can get these at almost any place that sells car audio. Yours is a common adapter they are about $15.
thanks for the help
