Actually there's a very legimite soution for this Problem.
Those posted solution of remove battery and others are all blabbering.

First of all, you have to go to start - right click on Computer - properties - device manager
Click on Imaging device (if you can't see the imaging device, you have to press fn + F10)
Then you will see a yellow mark on the device, right click on it - uninstall and put check for delete all files for this device. then up hit " scan for hardware changes " - it will re-install the build in smartcam automatically.

When done it's highly recommended that you restart the pc so that the new changes take effects.

It will be working 100% with no doubts.

Click on this link and choose which Operating System do you have on you computer.

Note: Right after you install the driver, restart pc then try to press Fn Esc, that's how you disabled/enabled the camera.

Hope this will help... Your response is very much appreciated...

Normally the webcam is turned on automatically by software that is using it.
Did you try a chat program and check the webcam?

For some computers you need to press a key combination to turn on the webcam. F10, ALT+F10 or Fn+F10 is a known combination.

Not connectingmy webcam

Uninstall any driver for webcam and unplug webcam
1) reinstall drivers make sure they are for your operating system
2) when driver installed it should come up with a screen asking you to plug camera in. if not reboot when drivers installed and then plug camera in then it should be found and installed . this method works most of the time any USB device should not be plugged in until drivers installed
