Unplug the computer and depending on your expierience locate a silver circle a little smaller then a quorter. remove this battery for a few minutes. This will reset your bios to default and should get you started up. Recheck your bios update compatability and make sure its correct. Also I must request more info on your problem. Changing the bios can be dangerous if you are not sure what you are doing. Good Luck

Can you boot from usb on a sony vaio pcg-9s1l

You may need to "Flash" (Update) the Bios. To do this, go online and download the latest Bios update for your machine.

Unzip the downloaded file and place it on an empty Memory stick.

Insert the memory stick and restart your machine. The Bios update should install.

Wait for the process to finish and then see if you now have the option in Bios>Boot Options to Boot from USB.

How to update bios

Go to your manufacturer's website...Look for software downloads...It is an .exe file. Download and install the BIOS. The system will restart automatically after a BIOS update. You can verify the updated BIOS by going into setup by pressing F2 at boot up.

No tpm or tpm has problem

1.u have downloaded the BIOS but have u confirmed that u have downloaded it with resect to ur motherboard serial no and version.

2. 2nd thing i want to say u that if u have downloaded BIOS which is more of floopy size then u can take it in a pendrive also and if u dont know that BIOS updation can also be done from window also.

3. if u have no choice like updating from windows with pen drive . than carry it in cd.
and update from window .
if not & if u want to update it from BOOT prompt then write those files in cd making that cd startup disk and make changes in BIOS setup .
a. open BIOS setup and go to boot priority option and make CD as first boot device.

b. save the settings and restart the system.
then when it will BOOT from sc run the .exe file from coomand and BIOS will get updated.
restart system and enjoy.

and 1 more important thing u cannot directly run it from window for that u have to run an application which is given in the motherboard cd or download it from ur motherborad site.

Updated bios problem on a780gm-a

I think you had a bad flash!

So re-download a new bios file from there web site and try again, with these instructions....

Updating the BIOS
You can download and install updated BIOS for this motherboard from the
manufacturer’s Web site. New BIOS provides support for new peripherals, improvements
in performance, or fixes for known bugs. Install new BIOS as follows:

1 If your motherboard has a BIOS protection jumper, change the setting to
allow BIOS flashing.

2 If your motherboard has an item called Firmware Write Protect in Advanced
BIOS features, disable it. (Firmware Write Protect prevents
BIOS from being overwritten.)

3 Create a bootable system disk. (Refer to Windows online help for
information on creating a bootable system disk.)

4 Download the Flash Utility and new BIOS file from the manufacturer’s
Web site. Copy these files to the system diskette you created in Step 3.

5 Turn off your computer and insert the system diskette in your computer’s
diskette drive. (You might need to run the Setup Utility and change the
boot priority items on the Advanced BIOS Features Setup page, to
force your computer to boot from the floppy diskette drive first.)

6 At the A:\ prompt, type the Flash Utility program name and the file name
of the new bios and then press <Enter>. Example: AMINF340.EXE
040706.ROM

7 When the installation is complete, remove the floppy diskette from the
diskette drive and restart your computer. If your motherboard has a
Flash BIOS jumper, reset the jumper to protect the newly installed BIOS
from being overwritten. The computer will restart automatically.

Hope This helps

Have a nice day!

After updated your bios, did you check the boot sequence?
it might have been changed. Go in to the bios again and check so the boot setting is pointed that your pc starts from your HDD.
If you trying to reinstall the OS you should change tye boot to start from you cd-drive.

I have a toshiba L300 laptop with vista....i re installed that to XP...after that i download bios update (previous version insyde 1.3 v now 1.5v)from toshiba and installed....the setup was successfull......

I solved that problem with unpluging every kind of connectors (Usb..) Shuting completly down. Unplug the powersupply and restart the whole system. After that, go to BIOS and see the SATA Option, set to compatible and not ASHC(or whatever its called). After the BIOS Update some of my BIOS settings were changed.
