Machine says paper jam and to remove paper No paper in machine Cant clear error codes

Disconnect the power cord from the back of the Canon Inkjet Printer. This is an important step when working inside ANY electronic device.

Unhinge the back access panel of the printer. It seems repetitive to say this, but this door will be in the BACK of the printer.

Look through the opened back panel and look for paper. Remove any and all paper you find jammed there.

Close the back access panel. Make sure that it latches into place and looks the same way that it did before you opened it.

Find the front or top access panel. This is the panel you would lift to change ink cartridges. Open this access panel. If the carriage that holds the ink cartridges moves, then you forgot to unplug the printer, go back and do that now. Look for paper that may be jammed in this area of the printer.

Remove any paper you find jammed here. When pulling from the front there will be resistance from the paper feeder. Pull slowly or the paper will rip and create a more stressful problem.

Close the front access panel. Make sure that it falls or latches back in place. It should look the same way that it did before you opened it.

Plug the printer's power cord into the wall outlet, and attempt to print again. If the printer prints the job, then you have successfully removed the paper jam.

Paper jam error.
How to correct, fix: Remove the jammed paper. If paper jams frequently occur, check the following:
1. Confirm there is no foreign material inside the machine.
2. Confirm only recommended paper is installed.
3. Confirm paper is installed properly.
4. Confirm the maximum number of sheets in the auto sheet feeder is within the paper limit mark.

If the device is not functioning properly or to clear memory, reset it. On the operator panel, press and hold the <ON/OFF> button for one second. (The display will go blank.) Note: It may be necessary to unplug the power cord if pressing the ON/OFF button does not shut off the printer. Wait approximately ten seconds and then press the <ON/OFF> button again. Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request.
Turn the machine off, and remove the power cord from the electrical outlet. Wait approximately ten minutes then plug in the power cord and turn the machine on. If the problem is not resolved, the machine may require service.

It just may be that the so-called roller cleaning operation may calibrate the timing

No printing on Mac OS 10.5.1

Check under the Apple site for this issue. I use Leopard and can copy and print with this machine. I have not tried the fax, however, I assume  it will work. The scanner does NOT work with Apple...at least yet...I am not sure if it is Apple or Canon or both who are at issue for this. As per the post below, the duplex works just fine for me. You may want to consider the possibility of removing the current drivers and reload the one's currently posted by Canon.
Duplex Printing

I figured out how to make duplex printing on the MF4150 work! Canon Tech support says that duplex printing is not supported, but they are mistaken.
Here is what you need to do:
1. go to the Canon site and download the latest UFRII driver (v1.5) and install it
2. in the application, go to page setup and select "Format For:" MF4100 Series [this was what I did not realize]
3. then, when you go to print, select the finishing tab, and then select 2-sided printing.
If you skip step 2, and you application defaults to "format for any printer," the 2-sided option will be greyed out. Other printer drivers do not require this, but the Canon driver does.
