I reinstalled home basic vista in my acer aspire


make sure you type the right model number.....

Cannot detect wireless


I don't think that model is certified for Vista. Are you looking to download the driver for it? Have you tried using the Windows XP one?

My acer aspire wont connect to my home network


Along the right side of the keyboard, there is an icon that looks like a satellite. This is the on/off switch for the wireless

Connecting to internet


vista you click the windows logo at the bottom left and select "connect to", XP click start, my computer, network places, view network connections, select a network by right clicking and connect
