Question about Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 for PC
I'm a junior tech working on a clients PC...
OS: Windows XP pro SP2
with ms office 2003 pro
Original Problem: Cannot delete messages in outbox
Found problem: Search utility disabled.
I have tried disconnecting and deleting messages, tried moving them to inbox, tried running outlook in safe mode. They all return the same Unknown error. I scanned the PC with NOD32 and SuperAntiSpyware, found over 150 threats but nothing serious, mostly just tracking cookies. Which have all been cleaned.
Any thoughts or ideas?
Possible virus that i'm not picking up?
If you attempt to send a message that is too large for your mail server you may be unable to delete it from the Outbox.
First, try setting Outlook offline using the File, Offline menu. Wait about a minute or so or close Outlook and reopen.
If you are unable to delete the message while in offline mode or cannot go into offline mode, you'll need to change your default delivery location Try this, hope it will work for you.
