Hi,
After formatting the system. You need to install Drivers for your system.you can not hear sound, can not connect to internet or can not run graphics Unless you install this drivers.
But no worries you should have got the driver CD with your laptop.Just installed all the drivers (e.g. Sound driver,Network Driver,Graphic Driver etc) on your system. After installing it will work properly.
If you have any queries regarding how to install drivers just comment to my solution.
Thanks

I need to replace hard drive what kind

A) Harddrives are measured by their Width.
Laptop harddrives are 2-1/2 inches across in Width.
2.5

Desktop harddrives are 3.5

B) Harddrive technology has evolved from IDE (PATA) to SATA.
Doesn't matter if it is a solid state harddrive (SSD), it still uses SATA technology.

The Compaq Presario CQ70-120us Notebook PC, uses a
250GigaByte SATA 2.5 harddrive.
(250GB)

I know it's a SATA harddrive, by the manufacturer year period, and by the motherboard Chipset used. Specifically the Southbridge chip,

Northbridge chipset will be a;
GL40, or GS40, or GS45, or GM45, or PM45

The Northbridge chip handles the Faster capabilities of a computer.
Processor, Ram Memory, and HIGH-speed graphics.

The AGP and PCI Express technologies are HIGH-speed graphics.

A graphics card in a PCI slot, or using Integrated Graphics; is NOT HIGH-speed graphics.

The Southbridge chip handles the Slower capabilities of a computer.
1) Anything using the PCI bus. (Like a PCI graphics card for one example)

2) IDE bus

I have an Aptiva by IBM that I am trying to find out the size of the processor and how much memorry it has

Suggest you download (Free) the tiny program, CPU-Z, from CPUID.com

http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

Bear in mind that the example shown on the CPU-Z page, is for a newer Intel Core i7 model.

These processors do Not use a Front Side Bus. (FSB)
Where it states QPI is Quick Point Interconnect.

For the older processors this will state Rated FSB instead.
FSB is Front Side Bus.
Tells you what Frequency Rate ('Speed') that the processor FSB, is operating at THAT moment.

(All info is Real Time. Watch the Core Speed change)

Looking at the GUI example on the CPU-Z page, observe the tab that states CPU.

When the program is first opened, the Processor (CPU) tab is automatically opened.

Here you can see very detailed information on the Processor.
Main things to look at are;

1) Name: Manufacturer name and the Model Number

2) Code Name: This name will help you differentiate what processor you are looking at. One of the things that is specific TO THAT processor.

3) Package: Essentially tells you the processor socket that is used.

4) Core Voltage: The optimum voltage the Processor will operate on.

It is DC voltage.
There is a voltage Range the processor will operate in, but the range is VERY SMALL.

Depends on the processor, but 2/10ths above, or 2/10ths below, is an average example ( .2 )

5) Rated FSB:

This part of what you need to know, IF you are looking at upgrading the Processor.
The rest of what you need to know, is what Motherboard Chipset is used.

Chip and Chipset are slang terms for I.C.
Integrated Circuit.
The terms are used alternatively, as either Chip, or Chipset, also.

For example, the motherboard chipset is actually two Chipsets.
Or Chips.
The Northbridge chip, and the Southbridge chip.

(For the technology used by the motherboard of the IBM Aptiva)

The Northbridge chip handles the Faster capabilities of a computer.
The Processor, Ram Memory, and High-speed graphics.

High-speed graphics being the AGP, or PCI-Express technology.
A graphics card in a PCI slot, or using Integrated Graphics, is Not
High-speed graphics.

The Southbridge chip handles the Slower capabilities of a computer.

1) Anything to do with the PCI Bus.
(Such as a graphics card installed in a PCI slot )
2) Same with the IDE Bus
3) SATA bus
4) USB bus
5) Ethernet
6) Audio (Sound)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Motherboard_diagram.svg

[ CPU stands for Central Processing Unit. Another term used is Microprocessor, or simply Processor, for short ]

Clicking on the Mainboard tab, will show what the motherboard chipset is. (Mainboard is proper computer speak for Motherboard)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_Aptiva

Now then, what Series is it, and what Machine Type?
Post back in a Comment.

Lotes socket. what proc is compatible with this socket?

Lotes manufactured many styles of processor sockets.

More information is needed.
If this in reference to a laptop computer;

A) What is the manufacturer name, and Model Number of the laptop? (Bottom of the laptop)

B) What letter/numbers do you see on the Processor socket? (IF you are looking at it on the motherboard)

C) What Processor is installed? (IF you know)

There's more to it than just knowing what Processor socket is on the motherboard.
The main information needed is what Northbridge chip is used, PLUS what processor socket is installed on the motherboard.

1) Chip and Chipset are slang terms for I.C.
Integrated Circuit,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integrated_circuit

2) The motherboard chipset is the Northbridge chip, and Southbridge chip.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Motherboard_diagram.svg

(Technology used for the motherboard in your laptop. Does not apply to motherboards that support the Intel Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9 processors)

The Northbridge chip handles the faster capabilities of the computer.
It handles the Processor, Ram Memory, and High-speed graphics.

AGP and PCI-Express are two examples of High-speed graphics.

A graphics card installed in a PCI slot, and Integrated Graphics, are Not high-speed graphics.

(PCI technology, and Integrated Graphics are slower capabilities of the computer, and are handled by the Southbridge chip. The Southbridge chip handles the slower capabilities of the computer)

{Integrated Graphics is also stated as OnBoard Graphics.
ON the motherBOARD. The GPU is soldered to the motherboard, and not to a removable graphics card.

GPU,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPU )

I know this is a bunch of information all at once.
No other way to approach the subject.

More information on the Northbridge chip, and Southbridge chip,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northbridge_%28computing%29

After you are done reading this article, click on the blue - southbridge, at the end of the first sentence, for more info on the Southbridge chip.

{The Southbridge chip handles the slower capabilities of the computer.
A) Handles anything connected to the PCI bus. The PCI slots, and/or Integrated Graphics.

B) Handles IDE devices

C) Handles SATA devices

E) Handles USB ports

D) Handles Ethernet,
and so on )

(In any of the articles you can click on anything listed in blue, to go to more information on it)

For additional questions, and/or to provide the information I asked for above, please post in a Comment.

Have you ever heard the saying "you can't get a quart from a pint pot?"

If the 2009 driver manages to run the graphics electronics to their full capacity there isn't much point in further updates.

As you have been successfully been playing the game until recently and a new driver hasn't fixed the problem it probably means the fault is electronic and not software based - or at least not the sound card drivers...

Hi, I have an Acer Intel Core2 Quad Q8200

That would ppear to be a matter if internet connection speed as it is playing faster than it can stream the video. You could pause the play back for a min or so to give the buffer time to load or consider upgrading your connection to a faster speed.

It could also be caused by having P2P running in the background as this eats up bandwidth as well if so close it down whils streaming video to give more bandwidth.

How can I make my laptop works faster?

You don't say what OS, assuming XP
I'd try the following:
Run windows disk cleanup and defrag
Run a cleanup program like ccleaner
Run a registry cleaner like regcure or eusing
If that doesn't help add more memory (you should have at least 1GB and preferably 2) or switch to Linux :-)

Unable to upgrade RAM......

Sounds like they are 2 significantly different speed memory sticks. Normally, the faster of the two sticks will "clock down" to match the slower stick.

Without knowing the motherboard and memory stick specifications, it's hard to tell, but it's most likely a speed issue.
