Question about Numark CDN95 2-Disc CD Player
I am trying to replace the pitch control on my Numark CDN-95 but it is a little difficult beacuse it has 4 pins on each side that has to be desoldered but by the time you get one move to the other, the first one gets back hard and there are 4 of them. I tried cutting the excess leads off but it is still not moving. Can anyone suggest anything that I could do? I would really appreciate it. I am thinking that I probably have to cut all the pins from the other side removing the slider and that way I could probably work on one at a time to get the left over debris out but not sure. Help. The other thing is that these pins are very small and close by each other and I am concerned about the resolder that I don't ground them off acidentally.
Try pulling the housing up with needle nose pliers on the one side. pull hard, and solder quick, this will help get them undone

I tried what you said and I even got a desoldering iron with the vaccum but the damn thing still will not move. i sucked out evey bit of solder I could get and trying pull and pry it p at the same time still does not move it. It does look like the board will crack if I force it anymore. My soldering iron it self it not power full enough either so I thing this migt be contributing to the problem. I will get one that has an output of about 45 watts tomorrow and then I will try again. Thanks, man.
