I have a timer hooked up to operate my outdoor landscape lights so that they come on around dusk and turn off at 11 pm or so. The "on" tripper which is white clicks as the timer rotates past the...

Sounds like the OFF tripper is worn down.
Timer needs to be replaced unless you have Intermatic-brand timer.

Intermatic is only company that sells plastic replacement trippers for their timers.
Except Intermatic on-off trippers are typically red-green.
It's possible your trippers faded in color.

I need trippers for timer paragon 4001-00m

1) Paragon is no longer making X2772 trippers for the 4000 series timer.
Some places may still sell the X2772 tripper.

2) I saw X2772 trippers for $60 spring 2011. And the ad did not say the trippers were new.

3) Buy replacement T101 Intermatic timer for less than that.
Example at Amazon showing T101 indoor timer: For outdoor timer, buy T101R.

4) Crossover wiring from Paragon 4001-00 to Intermatic T101:
Paragon terminal 1 goes to Intermatic 1
Paragon terminal 2 goes to Intermatic 2
Paragon terminal 3 goes to Intermatic A

I need a set of trippers for a Paragon timer Model number 4001-00. Where can I get them. Thank you. My name is Jim Vivone

Google search for X2772 tripper and some places may still have them.

Paragon is no longer making timers and parts except defrost timers.
Paragon 4001-00 120Volt timer uses X2772 tripper:

Paragon 4001-00 crossover to Intermatic is T101 120Volt timer.

Crossover wiring:
Paragon 4001-00 has terminals 1 2 3
T101 has terminals A 1 2

Paragon terminal 1 connects to Intermatic terminal 1
Paragon terminal 2 connects to Intermatic terminal 2
Paragon terminal 3 connects to Intermatic terminal A

Where can I find the timer triper set for a paragon 4001-0g

Open following link to identify timer and download manual

1) Paragon 4000 series uses X2772 tripper.

2) Internet search for tripper reveals some sources selling set of trippers for $50.
Paragon is no longer making timers or parts, except for defrost series timers.
4000 series is not a defrost timer, which explains high price for trippers.
Some sources might still have X2772 tripper at lower price.

3) Other companies are still manufacturing some Paragon timers for niche sales.
Certainly the Paragon line is still active although names and numbers will probably change over next few years.

4) I cannot specifically identify 4001-0g, and the 'g' suffix does not show in sell sheet

5) Replacement timer for 4001-00 is Intermatic T101

6) New T101 from Amazon is $45.00 with free shipping

Paragon 4000 series timers uses X2772 tripper

Google search x2772 tripper
Frontier Lighting shows they are out.
A couple other places show 56-60 dollars for the tripper

In November 2010, I got e-mail from Paragon saying that Paragon stopped making timers and parts for timers, except for defrost timers. 4001 is not defrost timer.

Intermatic has cross-reference link if you want to buy new timer:

I have the Intermatic T101 24 Hr. The light come on fine but the clock stops at that piont and the lights stays on.

Does the clock stop, or does the light just stay on? Without knowing any further information, you have a tripper that is set for the time to go, you should have one that is set to go off. Make sure you have both trippers set, and working. (ie. set one to go ON at 8:00 pm, and the other to go off at 8:30 pm). If so, then set them to your desired times - and try again.  Also, I'm not sure how long you've had this timer - because you could have a bad motor. If so, it's cheaper to buy a new timer - than try and buy a motor for it. Anyway, try the above information I gave you - and then let me know what happens. Any other information you can give me would be great. I hope the above info. helps you, but if not - we'll try Plan B. Good Luck! - JR
