You can clean it with maybe a little alcohol then go thru the motions of cleaning from the printer controls

SOURCE: not printing

try the cleaning cycle again and see if it gets and darker.
also try a test print as these utilise all colours and may help clear out any blockages.

SOURCE: Don't have a manual, how do i clean printer heads

Hi
There is a place in your driver when you go to print a docs there are some tabs there which will have Tools Tab you can clean heads from there, if heads not clean then try some tricks I used

Ok it got to be the heads blockage
There is fluid cleaner for this but I can never find any in the shops the only ones I seen is when they sell them in Tesco but they come in with the ink refill bottles so I just use worm water by it self on a cloth and dabbing on the heads to clean them, it will not harm the heads but not to much water.

Some heads are on the inks them self but some have them inside the printer so I not know your printer so if the heads are inside you need to get them out you may find that some heads will just clip out put some need to be unscrewed so you got to know how they come out so be careful and not push to hard on them, if the heads are on the ink then it is a easy job to clean them,
It worth a try it worked for me more than ones.

If you need the Manual click on the link I put one on my website for you.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Hello my Epson Stylus CX6600 is printing out blank pages, ran nozzle check and Head cleaning, also head allignment, still print blank pages, need help please

if the printers been sitting for some time, the printhead has dried up "not good" printheads generally retail around $100, you can try soaking the bottom of the printhead in metho which may fix some colors but you would be pretty lucky to get all them to work.

Problem with Printhead

I have the same printer with the same exact problem. Even the same color being affected. Unfortunatly no solution. It sounds like we have to replace the very expensive printhead.

Click on menu on the printer, scroll down and choose clean printhead or go to maintenance and then click on clean printhead .After that try to print. If issue persists, call kodak @ 1800 421 6699 and they will replace the printhead for you free of cost.Printhead is the part which holds the cartridges and has 4000 nozzles which sucks ink from cartridges. It Might have gone bad

Bad Printhead

Place the bottom of the print head on a towel soaked in ammonia for an hour or more if needed. This will unclog it and it will work again. You may need to do this a few times depending on how bad it is.

Also clean all the metal contacts where the printhead attaches in the carrier.

HP D145 need new print head (magenta)

You can purchase a magenta printhead from HP's site here. Before you do that make sure it is the printhead - this model uses separate ink and printheads. Are you receiving an error message that the printhead is defective?

HP Officejet d145 print head problem

Did you replace the PRINTHEAD, or did you replace the INK CARTRIDGE? They are not the same on the D145.

Good chance that you may have replaced the ink cartridge, not the magenta PRINTHEAD which sits under the ink cartridge.

PS - in my experience, non-HP ink cartridges clog up HP printers with separate printhead mechanisms... any possibility here?

Good luck!

Printhead problem

Any chance the ink cartridges, which are separate from the printheads, are empty or dried out? If the printheads were exposed to air for more than a few hours without an ink cartridge on top of them, they may have dried out. HPs are especially bad for this, and BTW, never use a non-HP cartridge in a D145 - the inks aren't compatible and clog up everything (at least it happened to me..) You could also replace all the printheads and cartridges, but that'll cost you more than a new printer.

Does it happen when you try to print from an application - like Microsoft Word or even Notepad? How about printing a test page from the properties page of the printer?
Sounds like either the printheads are clogged or there is no ink at all. Try running a few cleaning cycles. If you're sure you have ink, then try cleaning or replacing the printheads.
