(I work for AT&T and take this question everyday.)
ATT does not have blackberry data plans available in prepaid options. You may have purchased a basic data package, but without the correct data plan codes for blackberry, those basic features are worthless with a bb phone.

I CAN'T OPEN MY OPERA MINI ANYMORE

Sounds like you have no internet - your data plan is usually tied to your SIM/carrier. Check with your carrier because
some prepaid plans do not include data.

I am locked out of my blackberry 9500 i have forgot my screen pattern and i need to reset it please help!

Enter any password until you fail 10 times, it will make your blackberry storm 9500 unlocked from old password and erase your previous data. There is no option to unlock blackberry password without loosing the data, that's feature of RIM security system. So good luck!

You must using blackberry 8800 unlock code for att network before you can used t-mobile sim card in your phone, that unlock code can be obtained from your network provider in this case att, or you can buy blackberry network unlock code from third party sites.

I HAVE A BLACKBERRY BOLD2 SMART PHONE.I CAN MAKE PHONE CALLS TO ANY WHERE IN THE WORLD BUT I CAN NOT MAKE USE OF INTERNET AND DATA SERVICES.I NEED IT TO BE UNLOCKED.CAN YOU HELP.

Unlocking isn't the answer. You need a Blackberry data subscription, normally they're bundled into the monthly calling plan with a BB but if you contact your network operator they can set one up for you. This is not usually something you can get if you use your BB on a Pay As You Go basis, in most countries you'll need to find a SIM only contract.

Without the data subscription, your BB can only ever be used for phone calls and SMS.

Hi! Can you please confirm that you've subscribed for BlackBerry data plan? For your information having an unlimited data plan will not entitle you use browser in BlackBerry device. For browsing in BlackBerry device your SIM card need to have special APN blackberry.net.

If you already have BlackBerry data plan then

go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Host Routing Table -> click Menu button -> select Register Now

or

Click Alt button and click Menu button -> select Show All. Look for the Internet Browser icon there.

I bought a rim blackberry phone off ebay and I wanted to know how to activate it. And is it possiable to buy a prepaid phone card.

The 8330 Model is a CDMA phone and thus does not accept a SIM Card like a GSM BlackBerry would. So you can not but a prepaid Phone card or SIM card, but there are companies who now offer Prepaid Plans on the CDMA 8330 if you do not wish to activate a contract.

MetroPCS started the prepaid BlackBerry movement a little over a year ago when it launched the Curve 8330. The offering is far from perfect. First, it only works in MetroPCS’s legacy markets, so it won’t work in its AWS areas, which include New York City and Boston.

After it announced it’s Complete line of plans, T-Mobile also announced a prepaid BlackBerry plan.

The latest to offer prepaid BlackBerry services is Boost Mobile.

I am not sure where you live and what providers are available to you, but check with your local Carriers, to see what options are out there for your 8330.

Data connection refused

Hi,

After cancelling the data plan with the wireless service provider, the message Data connection refused appears at the top of the Home screen on the BlackBerry smartphone instead of the branding of the wireless service provider.

This is caused may be you were previously subscribed to a data plan through a wireless service provider, and the BlackBerry smartphone is still configured to attempt to access the data network.

To resolve this issue, you need to turn off the Data Services feature on the BlackBerry smartphone. To perform this, you need to complete the following steps:
  1. From the Home screen, open the Options menu.
  2. Click on Mobile Network or Network.
  3. Set the value of the Data Services field to Off.
  4. Open the menu and select Save.
  5. Return to the Home screen.
  6. Turn the wireless transceiver off and then on again.
To enable (turn on) the wireless transceiver on the BlackBerry device, go to the Home screen and select the Turn Wireless On icon or open Manage Connections and select the wireless connection to be enabled. Once enabled, the icon will display Turn Wireless Off .

To disable (turn off) the wireless transceiver, go to the Home screen and select the Turn Wireless Off icon or open Manage Connections and select the wireless connect to be disabled. Once disabled, the icon will display Turn Wireless On.

I Hope it helped you.

Thank you for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Just got a 8gb iphone has no sim were do I start

It depends on what type of plan you want such as a Prepaid or Post-paid plan. Post paid plan is where you have so many minutes per month and you have data plans available as well. You might be able to go in to AT&T and ask how much pre-paid plans are and if they have internet useage on them you will be able to take that sim card out and put it in your iPhone. Other wise if there is no AT&T carrier in your area, you can unlock/jailbreak your iPhone and then you would be able to use it with any carrier that takes sim cards. I personally use QuickPwn, but if you are going to do this just make sure that you are NOT running 2.2.1 on the 3G as you will not be able to unlock the phone, and you will have to get a turbo sim in order for it to be unlocked. Hope this helps you out!

Black berry bold unable to connect to data services while roaming

It might be worth looking at whatever plans you have. When you unlock your blackberry it still needs a sim card from some provider. When you unlocked and put in your new simcard, you bought some sort pf alternate phone/ Data plan did yopu ask for a mpa of areas that your nwe plan works from? They usually have a map of coverage that will show you if you had coverage in mexico. If not then it has nothing to do with the unlock it has to do with whatever provider you use doesnt servoce the area. Then tyhe answer is to get yuet another sim vcard with another plabn that works there. . Addtionally depending on where your blackberry came fromm it simplymay not puick up the proper frequencies as phones in meixco use,.. I know people who got their unlocked decvice from the middle east or africa or south america and those devices simply don't use the same frquency as the US or Canada does. If your device was orignally from Rogers then if you have no probnlem with getting services to work in the US or canada or even the US virgin islands which Roghrs does cover but at an astoundingly high Calling and Data rate ( like $1.35 Per minute vouice and .35 cents per KB in the carribean .. then it might just be the phones settingts which RIM puits in depending on whare they intend to have the device sold ..they seell worldwqide so if your fivice was designed fo Asia it simnply might not use the bsame frequency as US or candain devices

Check the coverage map of whatever planyou have from whatevber alternate provider your going wiyh ..you had to get another sim cartd to get the devie working. That sim card has to be attched to some sort of data and voice plan. check the coverage and then look into where you bought your blackberry and whre yuour tring to use it from . if it's rogers check and see if the devioce itself wll work in Mexico ..it just might not. Riogeers isn't really interested in making it easy for you to use servoces from far awat. Theres no compitition and as small population. They don;t have to do anything more then possible, I have had a regular cell from Riogersa that worked throughout the carribean..but nbot in othr arteas at all. . I have a blackberry noi but I have another friend who went deeply into brazil and other areas and while devices locally bought( even smart phiones) worked. Devices bought in North America don't work in some countries. It;s like DVD encoding. If you buy a DVD that is coded for the Middle east it won"t play on your DVD thats supposed to be for use in North ameica. Smart phones have some simiolar restrictions locked or unlocked ,
