Bad connection between wii remote and nunchuck

Had the Wii for about two years. The connection between controller and nunchuck has become loose. I am sure the problem is with the remote (female end) as I have also noticed the problem when playing guitar hero. Game play is frequently inturrupted. The nunchuck and remote used to attach to each other with an audible click but now I hear nothing. Any solution beside purchasing another remote? Thanks.

Same problem. I think it's the female connector since the nunchuck reconnects when you squeeze the controller.

SOURCE: Wii remote cursor not working in Wii Menu

I find it very irratating to navigate the wii menu as well. It seems our problem is the remote is very very sensitive to the sensor bar. You have to swing the remote around a bit to find the 'hand' you use to click on where you want to go. also, I find that I first have to press A when the menu comes, then almost have the remote 3 inches from the sensor bar. I have also tried putting the sensor bar in different loactions. Like, if we are playing standing up, we put the bar atop of the tv, otherwise if it is a game we can play while sitting, we put the sensor bar under the tv, on the stand (this is a 20") Try moving yours around and find out what works best for you. But it is frustrating as I too find that the remote is too dag 'on sensitive!! Even though I know it's fussy, we still have the problem daily, doen't get any easier! I hope this suggestion helps.

How do connect the control to the wii

If you are talking about the GameCube controller, there are controller slots on the top, when it's on the stand. (This is only available on certain Wiis. There are also Memory Card slots there.) If you are talking about the Wii Classic controller, plug it into the bottom of the Wii remote, where you would plug in the Nunchuck.

My CD game for my wii says plug in nunchuck to the wii remote. and it still wont do anything

The cable for the Nunchuck may have a short in it, or be broken somewhere. Wrapping cables up too tightly usually cause this. If you can get the Nunchuck to register by holding the cord a specific way then that's absolutely what's causing it.

How do I sync the motion plus to the Wii remote?

There is no sync required. The motion plus connects directly to the Wii remote (where the nunchuck usually connects) and works through the Wii remote.

My Wii remote is plug in and so it the nunchuck and the Wii tell me to connect nunchuck or classic controller to Wii remote one.

Is it always the same remote that does this? If so, you have a bad pin(s) inside the Wii Remote and this Remote should be replaced.

Return the product and use the Nintendo wired nunchuck. The nintendo wired product is only 19.99 and the cord is not that bad of a deal.

Wii keeps asking me to connect a nunchuck even though one is connected.

Hardware problem in nunchuck, try repairing it or buy the new Wireless Nunchuck, much more easier to play...
