Question about HP Jornada 720 Pocket PC
The calibration lasts for variable and unpredictable lengths of time, from merely seconds, to 10 minutes, to weeks. I use it daily with proprietary software for home inspection. I recently believed this was related to back-up battery condition, but replacing the battery didn't help. It's frustrating. The good news is my years-long difficulty getting the 720 to sync via Activ-Sync was fixed with a usb dongle and IR sensor--works virtually the first time every time.
I had the same problem, and i fixed, it's not totally true, the inners electronics components suffer damage with time, i think the hings and flex suffer needs to be cleaned with time, I follow the instructions at http://www.hpcfactor.com/support/cesd/h/0046.asp with to much care, an voila no more recallibrations needed,
