Black powder and noisey spin on hotpoint washing machine

Black powder sounds like brushes are wearing down. If noise is severe, suspect bearings. With door open try wiggling the drum up and down. If it moves inside the tub, replace the bearings. Try new brushes first!

Maytag altantic noisey spinner bearing, how to replace bearing

Oh boy.. This is a huge job. Start by first taking it all apart litterly. take the rear section of the tub off and pull out the old bearing and press in the new ones... make sure to put them in right they only go in one way and the wrong way will result in getting them stuck ...sometimes forever.
Check the inner basket while you are their. Most of the time when the bear is bad the basket is bad or close too. This if from Hard water and most of the time using none HE soap and or using way to much.
Thanks and good luck

Top load washer about 8 years old- Problem 1 = during the finial rinse/spin the tub will not fulling drain and leaves clothes very wet...had a service call replaced the pump, however stills does not drain...

most likely its the electronic board, easy to change. if you can use a second hand one out of a known working machine- see how that goes- it will probably cure the noise problem

Hotpoint aquarius WMF740 (1 year old) - noisey spin

its the drum bearings there worn out try opening the door and lifting the top of the drum with your fingers if there is any life and the drum drops back when you let it go its them bearings,, then spin the drum by hand is should grumble or growl,,,if it dont do any of this, it could be the "spider" broken off, its an ally part that holds the drum bearings and the drum up,

Where is the rear bearing located so i can grease it

The rear bearing is not accessible to grease. If you have a noisey spin that sounds like it is coming from the bearing it will have to be replaced. Most tub bearings on front loaders are preinstalled with the outer tub assembly. It is a major job to overhaul a front loading machine, requiring outer tub assembly, water seal kit and possibly tub gaskets. If not under a warranty it is not economical to repair.

Noisey drum, can bearings be replaced on zanussi zwf 1421 w

Yes they can. Search for a service manual for instructions, on the net. Parts are not usually exspensive, Repairmen are. I did mine in less than an hour.
