Question about Briggs & Stratton Garden
I am putting a briggs 8 hp in a golf cart and I was wondering where is a good place to drill into the block so I can pick up good vacuum for the golf cart fuel pump?
Both can cause problems. It is recommend that you do not go on a grade more the 10% for your safety and the safety for others around. But if the valve cover is leaking this can lead to major problems if not repaired on a timely matter

If you disconnect the fuel line from the carburetor, direct it to a container. Then turn the engine over by the ingition switch. If you have good fuel flow, problem is probably in carburetor, if no flow then the fuel pump should be replaced. I was just thinking, if you see fuel coming from the tiny vent holes in the fuel pump, then pump needs replaced cause diaphram is damaged.
I hope this helps you get it going again soon.
