Question about Computers & Internet
The montor wont turn on? or the pc?
the lines mean you may need to have the bulb changed. The bulb should last up to four
years but sometimes you get a dud. It also depends on whether you
bought the TV new or not. If that's the case, you don't know how long that TV
ran each day or for how many days it was on display.

it's not a computer problem, just the monitor.
gateway only offer a year on warranty so i'm afraid your past that.
it may be a cheap fix from the right technician.
if you call a few tv repair places they will be cheaper than pc repairers. tell them the problem and they will be able to assist you in getting a repair.

I believe it's onboard graphics
The monitor wouldn't turn. This was the first time I had any problem with the monitor. We bought it new from Gateway in 2007.
Thank you for the help.
are you using a graphics card or onboard graphics?
