I downloaded some apps on my blackberry now i cant find my browser

On your main icon screen.. press the drop down menu key.. (the one to the left of the trackball) and select SHOW ALL... possibly the browser icon was hidden..

If not check your APPLICATIONS folder or other folder looking icons.. its probably down 1 level deep in one of the other icons

Can not access the internet on a blackberry curve 8310

do you have the browser icon?

if you don't you need the service books resent to the phone. depending on your provider, if you google blackberry webclient for you service provider, and create a quick webclient account. create your username/password, and then put in your bb pin number and whatever else it asks for, and then goto help-send service books, and that will send the browser service book back to your phone.

If you are talking about the Internet Browser Icon missing then kindly press the menu key twice you will get the option of Show all press that you will get the browser icon.
Still if it is not working please follow the steps given below:-
This happens because of The cache in the browser application has become corrupt and must be cleared.
1) From the Home screen, click the browser application.
2) Open the menu, click on Options > select Cache Operations.
3) Click Clear History and any other instances of Clear buttons present.

I don't seem to have a browser in my blackberry pearl 8100

Who is your service provider?

It could be a couple things. The first thing is make sure you do have internet plan. Make sure your carrier supports internet browsers in their package. If your device is new or had a recent software update you need to do this next step.

Go to the OPTIONS Icon -> Host Routing Tables -> (Mine is under Advanced Options), then left click button next to trackball and select. Register Now
If that didn't fix it then go on.

Then you might try is to make sure you do not have that ICON hidden and/or look under Advanced Options (Applications) and make sure it is truly missing.

To check if the application is installed, go to OPTIONS, Advanced Options, Applications and look for "Browser". If you do have one installed the ICON is probably hidden.

To unhide an ICON, you left click next to trackball to SHOW ALL , then highlight the Browser icon (the globe) left click and uncheck HIDE. Then you can rehide all the other ones that you want my unchecking "Show All".

If still not working you can also try to do a hard reset by removing the battery and reinstalling.

If you are using an Enterprise server through work there are some other steps.

Lost icons and cannot retrieve

While you are still in "Show All" mode, did you try searching the icon in each folder on the menu?

To make sure the icon has not been hidden on the desktop press the blackberry button giving you a short list of options, of which you want show all.

You are looking for the browser icon (globe with a yellow arrow/ ring around it) once you see this and when you have received the settings from your service provider you will be able to access the web via your blackberry.

I somehow delted the icon for my internet browser

Hi. To get your browser icon back, (probably it's been hidden) you only need to go to your main menu, press the menu button again, and you should see the "Show All" option, select it and now you'll see the hidden icons in grey color. When you come over the hidden icons and press menu button, you can select to hide or show them. And when you do the "Show All" steps again and select it again, this time you'll hide your icons selected as hidden. Hope this helps.

I need to reload the browser app on my BB 8800, i got into applications and browser is there but will not appear on my desktop. im not retarted, i checked to see if it was a hidden icon, not there either....

Browser disappeared after your first syncing with the Desktop Manager
1. Run Desktop Manager, make a backup of your phone.
2. Go to the Phone and Device Support site, find the Blackberry Software Downloads link.
3.Download the new 8800 OS to your PC Desktop.
3. Run the install file from your desktop, follow the prompts.
4. Connect your 8800 to the PC, run Desktop Manager. You will be prompted to upgrade, click Yes.
5. Allow the phone to upgrade. This will take a long time 15-20 minutes is not unusual.
6 If it is working properly. You will get a white screen with spinning hourglass while this is going on.
6.Allow the phone to finish updating, it will reboot itself at the end of the process.
7. Hope this helps and welcome your Browsers back.

Note :: This is tested for perl but perl and 8800 has same features so lets hope for the best . And please let me know .

Can't Access the Internet

send yourself an email with a web site link. Click the link in the body of the message, and hopefully a web browser application will open up and take you there.

also, from the desktop of the blackberry, press "alt' and 'select' (select on the jog dial). you will see a 'show all' option. The web browsing icon may be "hidden".
