That is one thing that you can do to permanently ruin your mp3 player - it will probably have to be replaced, but try this:
These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/driverList.asp
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

I have an ipod model a1199. i was wondering if you can use a newer ipod touch charger for it? and if not what kind of charger does it use?

Charge an iPod Nano Without a Charger
If you've misplaced or broken the charger that came with your iPod Nano, you might think you need to purchase a new one in order to continue using your Mp3 player.
However, there is a way that you can continue enjoying your iPod without having to purchase a new charger.
As long as you have a USB cord and a computer, you can charge your iPod without having the charger.

Locate the USB cord that came with your iPod Nano package.
It is the same cord that you use in order to sync or transfer music.
Plug the small end into your iPod Nano.

Plug the other, larger end into your computer's USB port.
Choose "Do Nothing" when your computer presents the dialogue box to let you choose what to do with the hardware or USB connection.
Leave your Nano plugged into your computer for at least 4 hours to charge.
Unplug your iPod Nano when charging is complete.
Charge an iPod Without the Charger
Many iPod owners purchase a charging unit that plugs into a standard wall outlet to recharge the iPod's battery.
However, the iPod wall charger is not included with new purchases, so consumers must either purchase a separate charger or find a way to charge their iPod using other means.
Here's a simple method to charge your iPod using your computer.

Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod.
Plug the other end of the iPod USB cable into a free USB port on your Mac or PC computer.

Open the iTunes program by clicking on the icon in the Dock on a Mac or using the Start menu on a PC.
Click on the name of your iPod under the "Devices" heading in the main iTunes window.
Click on the "Sync" button to synchronize your iPod with your computer data.
While the iPod is syncing, the power from the USB port on your computer will charge your iPod's battery.

Unplug your iPod from the computer once the battery is fully charged.

This one should be ok.

When the iTunes symbol & the USB cord are on the screen, that means you must sync the iPod to your iTunes library on your computer.
  1. Turn on computer & launch iTunes
  2. Plug iPod Touch into your computers USB port
  3. Click on the iPod Touch under the devices section in the right side bar
  4. Select the items you would like to sync & change any settings available

Dear sir, my zen creative i pod is freezes on zen screen, it also does't connecting with my pc. so plz guide me how to solve my problem.

Hello

Flip the "Hold" switch that's on either one of the sides or the top of the MP3 player to "OFF." Press "Play" or any other button to try to unfreeze the player.

Leave the MP3 player on in its frozen state until the player's battery completely dies. Depending on the amount of life left on the battery, this could take several hours.

Connect the MP3 player (using the universal serial bus or USB cord) to an MP3 charger or a computer. Turn the computer on. Leave the MP3 player charging for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Connect the MP3 player to a computer using the USB cord. Open the software media program that syncs with that particular MP3 player. Then, click on the "Sync Player" or "Sync" link or tab, depending on the program you're using. Wait ten seconds, and then try to use the MP3 player. Disconnect the player from the computer if it's still frozen.

Press "Reset" on the MP3 player. Depending on the MP3 player you own, the button may be easy to find or incredibly small. With tiny buttons, a tack, needle or similar item is needed for pushing. Press and hold the "Reset" button for approximately seven to ten seconds. The player should unfreeze and reset. Some data, such as music, may be removed from the MP3 player during this process.

When I plug in my camera to my computer the screen goes blue??

Have you loaded the Kodak software? If not, the computer may not know what to do so it locks up. You should be able to hot sync the USB cord to the computer, turn on the camera, and press the Share button. Caution: plug the cord into the camera FIRST--before you plug it into the USB port. Otherwise the camera could gets a surge from the computer which could zap it. Good luck.
