How to install a new control board for my maytag MAH2400A

first check power to the outlet then power at the end of the power cord then it may be the control board- not cheap ($200+-)

Wax motor (Door lock mechanism) & or control board burn out. Door can be unlocked with nylon string situated in soap power dispencer at front.

ND means no drain, the water level fails to drop below the low water level in final spin.
check for
1 restricted drain system.
2 kinked/plugged drain hose or pump
3 faulty pump
4 loose connections on the board or pump
if you find none of the above you have a faulty control board.
hopefully you just find something clogging the pump, remove the pump completely and make sure it is not a paperclip or something like that down in the pump jamming it up so it doesn't drain, be careful and get lots of towels because there will be water in pump system.

As I sit here with my Maytag Neptune MAH8700AWW torn apart, I can tell you it is impossible to unlock and the 800 number is no help. They tell you to unplug it for 5 minutes. Some web posts talk about a "magical release cord" under the top cover but it does not exist.

likely a rubber gasket slipped off the groove.... try taking it apart and slipping the gasket back on.

heavy loads have more force during the spin cycle.

"dc" means that the control board is trying to ramp up (that is, send a signal to the motor controller), but has encountered an unbalanced load and so shuts down. Specifically, "dc" means "distribute clothes".

I took this opportunity to upload a Tech and Troubleshooting manual for you. Here is the link for it. Read it carefully. You will be required to perform a "board output" test after placing the machine in "Service Mode".

I gotta tell ya, though. Based on my history with these, I highly suspect that the machine control board has failed. Let me know what you find, OK?

You may need to remove the screws holding the top and slide is back a hair to get to thos screws holding the control panel.

sounds like you have a short in control board on washer buy service smart agreement from sears it will cost a little and cover up to 500.00 or give you 500.00 towards replacement value, dryer if you have heat its your vent in wall not breathing well , it will cause long dry times

If it's still there, pop out the front bottom panel. There is a Technical Information packet stuffed behind it.
