Error message on my Dell laptop Inspiron 5100

While surfing the internet an error message will pop up in the middle of my screen saying....
" Error Loading C:\Program Files\Common Files\ParetoLogic\UUS2\UUS.dll"
"The specified module could not be found"

Then it has a box to click OK which I click and it goes away. Nothing seems to be running differently on my computer just that message has popped up about 4 times in the last day or so. Does anyone know what to do to fix it so that doesn't happen?

I have a Dell inspiron 5100. When I try to turn it on, it just stays blank. It shows the Dell and Windows logos, but the screen where I'm supposed to choose my user account doesn't appear.

Are there any error messages displayed? Does the laptop switch off, or does it still remain on? (are lights etc. on?). Also, have you connected to an external monitor recently? I suggest attempting to connect to a monitor or TV using the S-Video or VGA connectors on your laptop, this should get the login screen to show up.

After the system has boot up try performing system restore to a back date when it was working fine. To perform a system restore u need to goto start -- All Programs -- acessories -- system tools-- system restore. If the issue persists u need to reinstall the OS.

Blue screen with error message on startup

Most likely problem is a physical problem with the hard drive, but could be plenty of other things. Best bet is to back up your information (if possible) and do a fresh windows install, if you continue to get the message after a clean windows install, your hard drive is not stable, and has a problem.
