My Italia wont pump water for the shot.

My Saeco Italia runs through the brew cycle normally ... grinds beans transfers them to the brew unit, mechanically moves over to press the shot and then won't pump water. The water pumps through the wand just fine but not into the brew unit. any suggestions?

I had the same issue. I even took the unit apart (which I DON'T recommend). What fixed my issue was a "deep" cleaning. I ran full strength CLR into the unit by filling the water tank with only CLR and running the wand until CLR came out. Then I turned the unit off over night. I also cleaned the white "nipple" where the water transfers from the machine to the brewing station. I did this while the unit was apart, but would suggest using full strength CLR on a q-tip and let it sit overnight as well. I then flushed the machine VERY well - and now it works like a champ.

Good Luck.

Saeco incanto water doesnt cycle

can you hear the unit working and the pump activating in the unit if you can most of the time units get clogs in the nozzle heads if you use a pin or needle to clean out the nozzle head it will restore the water flow so that the water is able to come back out the nozzle. This is mostly due to when people use the finest setting to grind the bean and dont realize that coffee beans contain oil and what happens when you mix oil and water and very small grind it forms clogs in small areas if you are not hearing the pump run then you most likely are not supplying the unit with the proper amount of power to run the pump. If you have any further questions message me back.
Thank you
Rick

Beans grind and are wet but coffee doesn't come out... it goes through the cycle and spits out a little. When cycle is complete, the water light comes on, but after priming the same thing occurs.

This tells me that either the grind is too fine and or the brew unit screen, and discharge tube needs to be cleaned. Try this first press the button for making a espresso using the manual function, do not add coffee through the door then press the brew button. If water flows freely then the grind is too fine, if you get the water prime error then the screen under the red o-ring on the brew unit needs to be cleaned.

I put beans in where the grinds should go. help!?

Hi
Open the door and remove the drip tray. Then remove the brew unit and empty the beans. Make sure that you get all the beans. Check the brew unit thoroughly. Then put everything back. Try the pre ground button but don't put anything in the brew unit then push the medium coffee button. That will run the machine through a brew cycle and if it works OK then you set to go.

Hello- I have a Saeco Italia machine, about 4

Try this press the pre ground button then the coffee brew button, if water flows from the spout then the grinder chute is blocked, if no water flows then the brew unit is screen blocked.
If grinder, then remove the brew unit and check the chute from the grinder.

Saeco italia has front red light explanation

This red light is to indicate if the water tank needs filling, if the bean hopper needs filling, or if the brew unit is not in the unit (after cleaning) or not in the correct position.

Saeco Italia SUP021 YR - Red light #29 on solid

Not clear on "Empty bean container/full grounds drawer) - not empty/not full. " But I gather that coffee is not being dispensed. Most Likely the grinder needs cleaning + brew group needs cleaning ( filter ). Do you get water/steam?
