I need to open my routers homepage and it wont work

Change the Home Page:

1. Open Safari if it is not already open.

   • To use another page, type its address in the Homepage field.
   • To use a blank page, delete the contents of the Homepage field so that the field is blank.
4. If you also want the homepage to appear whenever you open a new Safari window, choose Homepage from the "New windows open with" pop-up menu

5. Then choose Google as your default search engine.

This key code is found on your router.
It is the wireless security code.

You need to go to your router manufacture website and get information on how to get to your routers homepage via windows.

Once at the routers homepage find your wep or wpa key and enter it into your ps3.

What you can do is to check your router configuration by opening its domain homepage.
you can try to access: - open your Internet Explorer - type in the address bar 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 - once you have opened the homepage look for security TAB and change the settings a bit for your router to accept the wireless printer.

XP:

open Internet Explorer, click Tools > Internet Options and change the homepage in the Homepage section on the first tab.

2. Click "Internet options"
3. On "homepage" change it to www.google.com

Firefox-
1. Click tools
2. Click options
3. On "homepage", type www.google.com

open 192.168.1.1 the Linksys homepage and log on there with user name: admin and the password: admin.

the router page cannot be changed/ You change the home page feature in "options" under the "tools" tab/
the manufacturers GUI is set in the router.

Press the rest button at the rear, in a small hole, press and hold for a bit, say 10secs, and Now your Router should be factory fresh, if this doesn't work, then sorry router is kaput, this is a common thing.

you will need to upgrade the firmware. you have already downloaded the firmware. that file is .bin file . you will not be able to open that file. To upgrade the firmware, you will need to open the set up page of the router.

simply goto admin 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 you got to tell the router that you wish to kee p the port 21 open for ftp Firewall > Virtual Servers and add a entry using the port 21 and restart the router. Regards GeWiz

go to linksys.com and click on support and download the full user manual for your router. then find the homepage of the router IE http://192.168.0.1 and the default user name and password and go to the homepage and type in the user/pass to get to the settings of the router.
if you do not know the user/pass it may be because you changed it when you first set it up. you can reset it (also listed on the linksys site how to do this) but you may loose you settings for connecting to the net or keeping you computers connected to each other so reseting should be the last option used.
once in the homepage of the router you will be able to make any changes to settings you need even locking yourself out of the router and the net if you dont know what you are doing. the cd is used to do the bare minimum and in order to get you connected you can do a lot more in the routers pages than listed on the cd setup.

just remember if you make to many chages at once without testing to see if they work for you. you wont know what change broke or fixed your problem
