Does your machine fill with water even if the machine is off? In this case your inlet valve at top of machine is defective & can be easily replaced (will tell u where to get spares, if your dealer cannot) by yourself.

If water does not stop, after filling machine at a low level(is this a front loader?) and is flowing away - check your exit pipe, it has to have a certain height (approx 3 feet) up before going down to your drain pipe. RepairClinic.com (which is good)

Set a cycle, it will go around and around until manually turn the off button.... Nothing working, fills up, but does not spin.

Sounds like your circuit board has a problem. go to www.repairclinic.com. Look up washing machines and enter your model number, then a list of parts show up, they have a trouble shooting column. They have videos and the parts you will need.

Washer won't cycle past fill, keeps returning to fill cycle

That could be excess detergent causing the control to do extra washes to get rid of detected Suds. On these washers it is critical to use HE detergent and the right amount. Most often directions on detergent boxes are useless. This washer has a 3 phase motor with an inverter to change the current from 120 to 200 volts dc. If you continue to use wrong amounts of detergent the inline fuse will eventually blow from the motor overheating trying to correct overdose of detergent. Washing Machine Keeps Filling with Water through Detergent dispen

This machine has a water valve that works on vaccuum from the tub. You will see a small clear hose that runs from the side of the tub up to this valve. This valve is adjustable to change the water level in the tub to desired setting on some machines, but if it goes bad, it will not shut off, thus overflowing the tub. Find this valve and replace it if adjustment does not work.

Washing machine continues to fill when starts

If it fills with water and starts the cycle and the water keeps running in then your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is sticking. It needs replacing.

My Indesit Washer/Dryer repeatedly (but not always) gets stuck on the initial water collection part of the wash cycle. It makes a sound like water is filling (or draining) into the machine, there is water...

Pressure switch is likely clogged/full of sediment.

Change it.

Keeps filling up even when full for over 4 hours (never changed cycles)

The timer sends a signal to the water level control valve. This valve serves two primary purposes. 1. Activate the water valve to fill the machine. 2. Shut the water flow down and allow the machine to operate. Try running the machine again. If the water continues to enter the machine after it begins aggitating then shut the water off at the spigot. Now watch and see if the timer moves or not.

If the timer does not move at all then I would replace the timer. If it DOES move then another problem exists and will need to be addressed.

Re EW1200i : drum keeps filling with water

is it overfilling? if so you have a problem with the pressure side of the system and it would need cleaning out.
