Dear, you have to check your +button whether it is holp the egde of your remote, open your remote and clean, and also check a button on tv for +volume button. there is a pulse condition sensed by the volume control stage. if you can manage do it, or take it to a technician.

Having problems pairing the remote for Samsung un55D8000. Followed directions but continue to get pairing failure.

Make sure to hold the remote near the bottom right of the tv. There is a red LED and an IR receiver there. The remote needs to be pointed at this area and within 6 inches of the tv to pair the Bluetooth. Samsung doesn't mention this anywhere and I almost returned the tv before the salesman told me about this.

Have the dishnet remote and want to put new codes in for a un46c8000 samsung tv

Hello, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. We have a few different codes for each of our different models of remotes. You will be able to find the model number of your remote on the back of the remote at the top usually a two to three digit number with a decimal point. I will list here for you the best codes for our more popular models of remotes and also the instructions for addressing the remote to your Samsung TV. For the 3.0, 3.2, 3.4, 5.0, 5.2, 5.3 and 20.0 IR remotes the best codes are 680, 738, 833, 738 and 516. For the 4.0, 4.4, 6.0, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 and 21.0 IR/UHF remotes the codes are 680, 738, 516 and 833. I hope you find these instructions and codes useful and if you have any further questions or concerns feel free to email me at :)

Instructions for addressing the remote to the TV.

  1. Turn the Television On
  2. Press and Hold the TV Mode button until all the other mode lights light up.
  3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
  4. Press the pound(#) button once.
Note: The LED will flash three times.
  5. Test functionality with the TV
  6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

My remote stopped turning the TV off and on and adjusting the volume....what can I do?

It's rare to see an IR sensor go, it's most likely a defect with the remote itself. If you have a remote you can test with the tv, that's probably the idea solution. If you don't, you can possibly check out a site like and order a new original remote and give that a try. If that doesn't work, you can always return that new remote and maybe look into buying a new TV, because repairing it may get expensive.

Having trouble getting my Dish Universal remote to connect to my Insignia 19" flats screen television. I think it is the silver (ES3189) model remote

I came across your post. Are you still having problems with your DISH Network remote operating your Insignia TV? If you still are, I have 2 codes you can try to see if it will work on your TV. The codes are: 720, 539. The steps to program the remote to the TV are below.

Remotes: Basic (Television Only)
  1. Turn the Television On
  2. Press and Hold the TV Power button for three seconds until the LED flashes
  3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
  4. Press OK. Note: The LED will flash three times.
  5. Test functionality with the TV
  6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

If the volume buttons work when using the Radio, then the buttons on the Remote are fine.
Now if the volume on your TV is set to MAX and you can barely hear it.
The issue lies with your TV.. ()
Now if I understand correctly or if I am to assume you are using a Reviever.
If the reciever is used for all volumes... If this is the case.
I also assume the volume on the TV Speakers is set to off
Therefore when you use the Radio/DVD the volume control is using the Reciever volume.
and when you switch to TV it uses the TV volume thus the TV volume is not gonna work as well.
2 scenarios
1 The TV volume even at max is not giving you enough power to get the low receiver volume
2 the Receiver volume is at max and barely audible.. if this is the case just manualy adjust your TV volume to get it to a decent sound level.

Hard to explain but I know the 2 issues can be fixed.
