Question about Yahoo Mail

Losing pictures in email

When people send me emails I used to get the whole email with all attachments and pictures. Now my emails are coming in with empty white boxes with little red x's in the left corner. It has done this to all my previous emails also, so I have lost all the information I had in my emails that were in my inbox. Help please. What can be done so that my emails come in properly and restore previous ones. My HP runs on Windows Vista. Thanks very much

Go to options and change your spam settings.
When you open your yahoo inbox, to the top right side is the options.

Click on it and it should show a drop down menu.

Click on the option, next page will show you the options.

Choose the spam protection and change the image blocking from initially block images to always show images.

Hope this helps,

How do I send and receive pictures on my e mail

Before you push the send button, you must attach you picture to the email. There is usually a button with a picture of a paper clip on it that will start the process. You will then need to go to the location on your computer hard drive where pictures are stored and double click on the pictures you want to send. The pictures usually end in file type .jpg. You camera probably named the picture with a number like 12345.jpg. Once you have attached the picture(s), please the send button on your email screen.

I recently switched to Yahoo but I cannot seem to attach any pictures.. hat am I doing wrong?

Share photos through the Internet the same way you would share other news - in a Yahoo! email message.
Yahoo! Mail may be your go-to choice for text emails, but the free email program also offers the ability to attach photos with your messages.
There's no additional charge to send photos with Yahoo!, though the more photos you attach, the more time it may take for your email to get to the recipient.

Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account.
Click the "New" button. If prompted, click "New Email Message."

Enter the recipient's name into the "To" field, or click the "To" link and select the name from your Contacts folder.
Enter a subject line and type a message into the body section of the email window.
Click the "Attach Files" button.
Click the "Browse" button to the right of "File 1."
Go to the first picture to include and double-click it.
This lists the file path in the "File 1" box.

Click the "Browse" button for "File 2" and repeat the process.
To attach more than five pictures, click the "Attach More Files" link.

Click the "Attach Files" button.
Depending upon your computer's speed and the files' size, it may take a few seconds to a few minutes to complete the attachment process.

Click the "Send" button to send the photos.

Trying to send an email with pictures but it freezes every time i try and send

Have you tried sending an email using different computer? Most of the time, internet connection and internet browser are the common cause of system freeze up when sending an email.

Try to access your email in a different computer that is connected to a different network. If you're not able to duplicate the problem on different computer, then the problem has something to do with the computer that you are using.

Contact your ISP to verify if there's any issues with the internet connection. Or clear the cookies, internet files, and browsing history of your browser.

But if the same problem occur while using different computer, you must check the file size of the picture that you are trying to send. Most email provider could support attachments that has 32MB, 50MB, 1GB attachment. But it will depend on your email provider.

Thank you and good luck!

Can send e-mail----but not pictures------sending pictures results in something like windows not able to reconize host

In order to properly add a picture into an email, you have to click the option *Attach*,which will give you two options. Rather File, Or Picture. Click on the option *File*, Find your picture or file you wish to add into the email.. Double click on it, Wait till it uploads. and once its done you'll be able to send the email. Once the person your sending the pic to receives it, all they have to do is click the file under the subject and upload the picture. Hope that helps! =)

Hi,
To insert pictures in your email message, click to create a new message and then click the Attach button in the top row (next to Send).
A dialog window will open asking you to specify the file you want to attach. Select your photo and click OK.
That's it. Yahoo will upload your photo and it will be send with your message.

Yahoo email... I receive pictures with my emails everyday. How do I put a picture on the body of my Yahoo email that I am composing?

Right click the picture and select save as. Save it where you want it. When you want it, just insert it from the saved location.

Attaching the pictures

When you have a new email open/composed (by pressing the Compose button), there should be a button that says Attach Files, with a paperclip image next to it. Press that button, and a page will come up saying "Attach Files" and there will be five gray boxes with Browse buttons. Go to the box next to File 1 and find the Browse... button. Click it, and find the image in which you wish to attach/send. Once you have attached all of the pictures you choose to, click the Attach Files gray button at the bottom, and the pictures will be attached to the email. Then, once you are done with the email, send it and the attached pictures will go with it.
