You have different options to use to put music on your phone. You could download songs from the internet directly to your phone or you could collect songs on your phone from another phone, laptop or system.Through a phone all you need to do is to put on your bluetooth and transfer, but through the system or laptop you could use the bluetooth too or you could use a usb cable to transfer songs.
As far as downloading songs with the internet, yes, VCast is your only choice for Verizon.
However, you are free to sideload your .mp3 formatted files from your computer to your phone via a microSD card, or data cable, no matter where they came from.
If you're going to use a memory card, you'll need to insert it into the phone and format it (its under Menu > Settings > Memory usually). Then make sure that you only load the files into the music folder for them to work.
An easy way to put music to your Motorola phone is to use a File Manager like M-Explorer or P2kTools since it does not have a Memory Card. You will need to install the drivers for your phone first before you can use these File Managers.
I am not sure if I can post the download links here so I recommend that you google the File Managers to get them. For the Drivers, you can download them at the MotoDev site.
One way to to put music on your phone, is by using a memory card. The Micro sd cards come with an adapter that allows you to insert it in a card reader slot. Then simply copy music into the Music folder on the card. The cards I have purchased already had music and picture folders established on them.
your phone may have a root folder limitation on how many it can see in the root , try creating a folder and dropping them into that. or take all the songs off and use the phone to format/erase the card , then put the songs back and see it that helps.
